Not moments after someone tried to assassinate Donald Trump, the trending topic on X was, disgustingly, “they missed” and “how did they miss.”
Just how depraved do you have to be to sink that low?
There have been plenty of examples of division in our history, and no, you don’t need to go all the way back to the Civil War to find them — many Americans are still around who personally witnessed the political turmoil and political killings of the 1960s.
But today feels so uncivilized, so sad.
That someone would decide that they had to kill a former and perhaps future president is bad enough, but to have a hoard of online posters cheering them on?
The media likes to preach at us, saying we should have a “conversation” about radicalism. Will they talk about this?
There is hatred that has been carefully nourished, and it is out of control. It is not the story of one side, but only one side gets covered by the press.

How can we trust the FBI to investigate this incident? After Russiagate? How can it even be confidently eliminated from the list of suspects? Were the failures of the Secret Service just incompetence or designed to help? Who shot the shooter? Was this a replay of Jack Ruby in the Dallas jail? The shooter allegedly had no social media presence. They already know that? To quote Lee Harvey Oswald, was he a patsy? Maybe this is just a rabbit hole, but how do we know?
The Democrat system of government is Thugocracy, where they maintain power by violence.
I'll vote for RINOs and deal with them later. Previously, I wasn't sure if they deserved my vote.

If I were in charge of law enforcement the order would go out straight away: scour social media and everything else for these people making these disgusting comments. Every last one of them gets a 3AM FBI raid and a legal rectal exam to find out who’s blowing smoke and who’s an actual threat.
The ones just popping off at the mouth get fined and ordered off of social media for the rest of their lives. The actual threats and truly unhinged go to Gitmo. But the message needs to be sent: This kind of talk will no longer be tolerated by anyone in the United States. It’s dangerous and it’s a security threat to the nation.
If they don’t do this, at some point, one of these unhinged leftist demons will succeed in their evil machinations. And that will spark a full civil war, leading to much bloodshed. That’s something I would wish to avoid at all costs.

DU was Sickening last night.
There was a few calling for Restraint and calm but very few and fair between.
Now it is open season calling on someone to hurt Trump.
I remember growing up. If you even talked about such Nonsense you should expect a visit for the SS.
I did the same thing. Ya gotta wonder how we ended up with so many sick mf’rs in this country. Screwed up parents and then screwed up teachers is my guess. Are there any DU clones or equivalents from other countries on the internet? I haven’t heard of them.
We are unique in our embracing the cancers of sedition and treason under the guise of freedom of speech. The other thought I had was we are fortunate to have DU because now we know what the maniacs and psychos are saying, since when we had mental institutions (before the left shut them down) everything the inmates said was under wraps and kept quiet.
At least now that they have their own political party all to themselves, and are actually getting elected to high office, thanks to mail-in-ballots and a fake pandemic, it’s more or less out in the open.

It's not just social media that needs to be denounced. The legacy media has been full of articles that "Trump is Hitler" and a "threat to our democracy". Actually, it's the legacy media nuts that encourage social media nuts to cheer this.

Yesterday morning we were one inch away from civil war. Now we are a good bit past it IMO.
Comments like that — hard to believe. But I’m not surprised.
Exactly what I was thinking, mostly peaceful. Exactly the way the left will frame it.
