FBI surprised how Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks fired off many shots before Secret Service killed him at rally

Law enforcement officials admitted it was “surprising” how the gunman was able to get so many shots off in the attempted assassination on former President Donald Trump before he was taken out by Secret Service snipers.

During a press conference early Sunday, officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police deferred several questions about security to the Secret Service — who were notably absent.

When asked if he was surprised at the number of shots the gunman was able to take at a former president, Kevin Rojek, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, said: “It is surprising but, to get all the details of that will come out later in the investigation.”

“The Secret Service really needs to answer that question,” he added, noting that they are in charge of securing the scene and the FBI were just there to support them.

Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens attempted to offer a defense for the Secret Service over the security lapse that nearly caused Trump his life.

“In their defense, what I would want to say is it is incredibly difficult to have a venue open to the public and secure that against any possible threat against a determined attacker, that’s a huge lift to try and do it,” Bidens told reporters.

I’m not surprised. Speed sniping is probably one of the courses the shooter had at Quantico. Even IF he really isn’t an FBI plant, he’s/was exactly the type of terrorist psycho the FBI is charged with instead of hounding legal gun owners, MAGAs an protestors they want to call insurrectionists. But no, the FBI doesn’t track sites that liken Trump to Hitler as this President does.

What really bugged me too is how long the SS kept Trump in the killzone and standing upright with the smallest agent (the chick) to his front in the huddle.

In the past, if something goes down around a president, he gets immediately whisked away to the limo in a cordon of agents. We were witnessing incompetence on a grand scale, or they were keeping Trump upright and motionless with a clear shot at his upper torso and head.

President Trump needs his own protection detail, the SS have become Praetorians. Perhaps Netanyahu or Orban could spare some men for this.

That said, take it with the smallest grain of salt you have.

It’s sickening. We witnessed an attempted assassination and these twattards have no answers. By the grace of God President Trump survived this. The security detail “failed” and read that word any way you want.

The media which has been complicit in stoking this kind of violence through 8 plus years of demagoguery and hysteria can barely muster the nerve to cover it truthfully. I have no faith they will investigate the FBI or secret service explanations. Trump lives! May this be the death knell to the MSM and the bureaucratic state.
