I remember that as well. Even the Secret Service did not know Reagan had been shot until blood started coming out of his mouth. They were headed back to the White House. They then went to the nearest hospital and saved Reagan’s life.

Brings to mind when TR was shot (in Milwaukee) on the way to give a speech. The would-be assassin’s bullet was slowed by TR’s glasses case and his folded sheet. He insisted on giving the speech, apologizing to the crowd for not speaking louder and showing them the bloodied speech with a hole in it.

Trump looked like he’d have gone on had the Secret Service not swarmed him.
