Without what is known as a preponderance of new evidence he can never be tried for any crime related to the original manslaughter charge. He is like every other citizen protected by constitutional double jeopardy rights. Hence the dismissal with prejudice that specifically triggers the constitutional protection of double jeopardy per the Supreme Court. It will be hard to get civil verdict without a clear nexus of criminal negligence. Since actors are not responsible for prop safety that’s a hard sell. His role as a director or producer could satisfy a nexus but a jury would be the final arbitrator of that and loser pays in NM I believe so you better be sure you can win against not only a millionaire actor but the corporation behind him.
The prosecutor screwed up big time. Hopefully they will be disbarred. What a mess. Alec got lucky.

If Baldwin knew some of the bullets were real, he and others should've treated ALL guns like they were loaded with real bullets.
