New York Times op-ed columnist Maureen Dowd said a campaign aide working to help re-elect President Joe Biden asked her to scrub a verbal gaffe from one of his recent media appearances.
In her column in the op-ed section of Sunday’s Times, Dowd wrote that TJ Ducklo, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign, emailed her after she published a commentary on Saturday that included reference to the word “goodest.”
Biden appeared to utter the non-word during his interview on Friday with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, but the network later revised the transcript to reflect that the president actually said “good as.”
Disney-owned ABC News altered the initial transcript at the behest of the White House, according to The New York Times. The Gray Lady also revised the Biden quote “to conform with the updated ABC transcript.”

About twenty “journalists” cover and travel with Biden wherever he goes. They not only knew full well that Biden is demented but they also knew that he is a sock puppet being run by specific individuals. If these “journalists” were true ethical professionals they would have reported the truth , especially who was really making policy and running the country. Instead of investigating and reporting to the American people, they were content to function as Democrat propagandists.

You are correct, that was not Maureen Dowd. It’s an old FR tradition that if the thread has anything to do with Maureen Dowd we post pictures of Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Their real crime was against the American people. Biden was abused and used, but he was a willing participant and got what he wanted. These journalists had an obligation to not only report what they knew but to identify and investigate the individuals who were making policy, running the country and were controlling the sock puppet. The “journalists” were negligent frauds and can never be trusted.

Old meme....Michael Douglas dumped Dowd for Catherine Zeta-Jones a couple decades back. Every time a Dowd piece of NYT crap is posted the Zeta-Jones pictures are posted... kind of a Schadenfreude joke on Dowd.

That’s not the point. The point is that Mr. Douglas dumped Ms. Dowd for Ms. Zeta-Jones ... and they built an apparently happy life together ... and Ms. Dowd was, and probably still is, butthurt about the whole business.

I haven’t read or heard from her in years, I had almost forgotten her. So she still has a column with the NYT, who knew.
Big deal. 3 months ago, she would have done it without any pushback.
I thought ‘goodest’ was a perfectly cromulent word.
Fortunately, that’s not how the system executes orders.
