George W. Bush, born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, was the 43rd President of the United States.

Bush was born to parents Barbara Bush and former President George H. W. Bush. He has five siblings; Jeb Bush, Marvin Bush, Neil Bush, Dorothy Bush Koch and Pauline Robinson Bush. Pauline was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away at age three.

He was formerly the Republican Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000.

Bush was first elected to the White House in November 2000, and officially began his first term as president in January 2001, after he defeated Democrat Al Gore during the presidential election. Bush was reelected to his second term as the incumbent in November 2004, when he prevailed over Democrat John Kerry, and led the United States until January 2009 before handing over his torch to former President Barack Obama.

I think they Dem/media hatred finally wore W down and to this day he still hopes to be liked by them. Pathetic.

He was awfully chummy with Slick Willie after leaving office.

To this day I despise my screen name on FreeRepublic. But it also serves as a reminder not to get too attached to or confident in any politician at any time. Ever again.

the “hatred” was just an inside joke, and the fake animosity was understood to all be part of the GAME. “wore him down” ???that’s what we were supposed to feel, in order to generate sympathy for him. Like the persecution/prosecution of Bill Clinton in the Monica affair, which produced nothing but sympathy for Bill and Hill, and extended their political presence to this very day.

Actually in hindsight, his first term wasn’t even decent. We just gave him our support because of the 9/11 attacks.

Yeah, Bush had adults in key positions first term. Second term were some of the worst picks in Republican history

It's ironic, they tagged GHW Bush with the wimp label when he was the most badass President since Teddy Roosevelt

GW Bush was a wimp. He set wheels in motion and then failed to show the resolve needed to follow through

Bush was asked about his legacy.

He flippantly replied “ask me in 30 years”

Unfortunately, we didn't have to wait that long.

It's already clear that Bush was handed huge wins by the old hands in his first term and then blew the hard won victories with bis epic fail crony team in his second term.

At the end of the day, he left the Middle East and Afghanistan in chaos with his kinder, gentler approach and his failure to engage his lying political opponents gave us Nancy Pelosi and eight years of Barak Obama

History will not be kind to this guy

He was terrible, worse than even Pops.

Yup, this - the wrong person at the wrong time for the office of the presidency.

Then the political charade started falling apart. It was only until this past debate the normies started seeing it for what it is, the pure evil that has had taken over our country for decades.

I wish sometimes here people would keep their uniformed opinions to themselves instead of just slinging garbage. As a common citizen I got to meet him, spent much time in the White House at the time he was there, in a prayer ministry, which he supported. Got to know staff, who said he always treated them with respect and dignity. It was common for him to come in to a persons office, sit down on the corner of the desk, ask how they were doing, how their kids where, did they need anything. You can disagree with some of his policies, but he was and is a decent God fearing man, that continues to give back to the community without any fanfare. A far cry from the disgusting POS right after him and the current fraud that occupies the White House.

Dallas Texas 2006, during war time, under Republican George Bush.

500,000 illegal aliens march on Dallas Texas pushing foreign flags in our faces and while making demands and threats. All while Bush celebrated Cinco De Mayo up in the White House...During war time.

He was an absolutely better choice than Al Gore and John Kerry.

Conservatives are foolish to join in on the Republican president bashing.

Since Wilson we are lied to about the good Republican presidents do.

I’m still trying to decide whether or not Bush II was our worst foreign policy president. It’s either him or Woodrow Wilson.

Point 1: Right after 9/11 Bush had a unique opportunity to crush radical Islam. The entire civilized world was with us. Instead Bush said “Islam is peace.”

Point 2: Bush set the tone on how the Afghan war was to be waged. The loss there is ultimately on him.

Point 3: While the Afghan war was still going on, Bush started an unnecessary and bloody second war in Iraq. Among other things, that war touched off the great Muslim migration to Europe.

Bush II the person might be a swell guy. But Bush II the president can go to hell (figuratively, of course).

OK until 2006 when he said “see you at the signing” of the proposed McCain-Kennedy Amnesty bill.

Although the people melted the congressional switchboards to stop that bill, it was the start of the illegal alien invasion that we are dealing with today.

Will bis two pieces of legislation that he signed, placing American citizens under future suspicion, ever be repealed?

I speak of The Patriot Act and The Military Commissions Act of 2006.
