Coming soon to a country near you!....................

That graphic is from the EU election a couple of months ago. That has nothing to do with yesterday’s election.
Such are the results when a country has multiple political parties.
While the US 2 party system has its faults, I believe it is the preferred way to govern.
There is a map of yesterdays election about half way down this page
I heard that they have some kind of rigged system over there where you can win, but still lose. But I don’t understand how it works at all.
Macron rolled the entirety of the French Establishment into the Left Political Order in order to stop Le Pen. It’s a mess of factions that will split apart shortly. There is no longer a political center in France, just a Right and a communist Left. It’s doomed.
Election cheating is everywhere in this world.
"Managed" democracy: tastes the same, but less calories! /s
“I heard that they have some kind of rigged system over there where you can win, but still lose. But I don’t understand how it works at all.”
The candidate who gets the most votes in a constituency is elected as a member of the National Assembly.
Taste is from unhealthy additives and preservatives, but seems to be addictive and causes people to keep coming back for more.
The Dems will say they get the most votes Senate and Electoral College be damned.
Always the Bridesmaid, but never the Bride!
Isn’t our system rigged the same way? You can win the popular vote but lose the election.
Thanks for that map. The posted map just didn’t seem right to me.
But here’s the thing. I did a quick search for a map of the second round results. I must have looked at least five different maps. And each map showed something different. And some of them were very different.
Could that be how the coalitions are defined?
Anyway, bye France. It was nice knowing you.
Once the left gets a toehold in government, they immediately began the process of making it harder and harder for their opponents to retain or gain control again. They always wind up controlling key elements of the election infrastructure, especially ballot collecting and tallying in key areas. Their corruption of the electoral process is not complete until no honest election is possible.
Ping
The “fascists” should be the ones rioting after this result, instead it’s the left, like a show of force. The right will wait for the next ballot box
The fix is in.
Here is a similar map for the first round
RN got a plurality, (but not a majority) in more than half the seats. They were not able to attract many new voters in the 2nd round, hence they ended up losing to candidates who did.
Le Pen is controlled opposition anyway. Better to let the Muslims win so people wake up immediately.
