Will anyone at Boeing - especially in their toxic C-Suite - serve prison time for all the deaths they caused?…
…or is this just another "let's pay a fine out of company coffers and not take any personal responsibility" BS situation?

Are 737 Maxes still going to be in service?

I just read the
story just released by the NY Post, and of course, the answer is no, no jail time, at least right now. The NY Post article states: "The deal also does not cover any current or former Boeing officials, only the corporation." Does that mean further personal prosecutions are coming?
The good news is that a judge can still reject it. Hopefully they take wishes of the victim's families into account:
"Relatives of the people who died in the crashes were briefed on the plea offer a week ago and at the time said they would ask the judge to reject it."

Hi SM - can you please post this to “Extended News”? I think it warrants it.

Of course. United, American, Alaska, and Southwest are pretty much dependent on them.

Well then put a fence around Boeing and call it imprisoned.

This man lost his wife and three young children on one of the fated flights. I don’t think even a trillion dollars can recoup the losses. God be with him.

There is a great documentary on Netflix that really hits home called “Downfall: The Case Against Boeing” - for me it wasn’t just an indictment of Boeing, but of the decline of American greatness, ingenuity, and integrity in general.
Directed by John F Kennedy’s niece.

I wonder if Lockheed or Northrup/Gruman might not look at a passenger plane.
The Chinese just built and started flying what is basically a 737 clone.
Airlines may want some options beside Boeing and Airbusted

with all the federal aeronautical regulations, and the FAA, there should be plenty of jail cell stuffings. Eben a few ‘fish fries’, for the deaths caused.

CBS ran a long story on CBS Sunday Morning July 7th about Boeing.
It was said the problems started when Boeing acquired competitor McDonnell-Douglas in the late 1990’s.

Lockheed once had a passenger plane called the L-1011.
It looked similar to a DC-10.
TWA had a number of them in the 1970’s, and I flew between the East Coast and Los Angeles...and vice versa... on them during that decade many times.

Absolutely, my daughter in law took a flight on a 737 Max-8 just last month.

This is the DOJ letting Boeing off easy because they are the only company that makes large passenger planes in America and is a major component of the Military Industrial Complex.
The families of the passengers that died are expected to ask the judge to reject the settlement.
