Axelrod post-interview: Biden ‘dangerously out of touch’ with voter concerns

Democratic strategist David Axelrod warned that President Biden is “dangerously out of touch” with voters on the issue of his age and health following Biden’s highly anticipated sit-down interview on ABC News.

“The president is rightfully proud of his record. But he is dangerously out-of-touch with the concerns people have about his capacities moving forward and his standing in this race,” Axelrod wrote in a post on the social platform X. “Years ago at this time, he was 10 points ahead of Trump. Today, he is six points behind.”

Axelrod’s comments came shortly after Biden’s full interview with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos aired Friday evening. The interview was the first since Biden’s widely panned debate performance against former President Trump last week.

Throughout the interview, Biden described that debate performance as “a bad night.”

“I was having a bad night when I realized that even when I was answering a question, when they turned his mic off, he was still shouting, and I let it distract me,” Biden said, referring to Trump.

“I realized that I just wasn’t in control,” he added.

Biden also insisted he was not behind in the presidential race, despite polling showing otherwise.

Isn't Axelrod Brandon's BFF?

“The president is rightfully proud of his record.”

That makes no sense, no matter how you slice it.

Exactly. He’s proud of his record, but completely out of touch with the concerns of voters. You can’t have both.

This is nonsense. The left, and that is all DemonRats, are all cognitively impaired.
Joe Biden clearly has the most experience to be their leader.

Obama's bung hole buddy too.

If Brandon has lost Ax, he's lost the party (to paraphrase LBJ about Walter Cronkite and America)

Two weeks ago Axelrod would never have said this. Now that the lid has been blown off their scam in a spectacular fashion and re-election prospects look grim, he is suddenly worried about the voters’ concerns. What a maggot.

That’s funny. I remember seeing a split screen of Trump just looking at you while you started mumbling nonsense and making strange noises in your throat. I think America remembers that too.

I’m thinking Adelrod, Snufalofagus, CNN et al, can now see a path to POTUS for Hillary . . .

The president is rightfully proud of his record.

Really? Which part?

Exactly, he never spoke at the same time Joe did, he even finished with time remaining several times. You cant say that with a split screen. the optics would have been horrible. Also, maybe there is a way, but why wouldnt Joes mic pick up Trumps voice too?

You can if the concerns of the voters don't matter to you.

This is getting good! A Lib politician who’s only in it for themselves, is self dealing, will not compromise no matter how absurd their position, doesn’t care about voters or the country… or even his party. What’s the matter Libs, this description fits 99.999% of Democrats.

Popcorn time! Oh I salted the popcorn with Liberal tears…. 🤣🤣🤣

Two faced Commies will ditch the last hero and go on to the next one. Soviets used to delete the pictures of the old leaders from photos on the balcony. The US ones will say “Joe Biden? Who’s that?” soon.

Biden faced a low bar after his debate

At this point, every Biden answer, interview and speech will serve as a Rorschach test of sorts to voters, who consistently tell pollsters that they’re worried about his age. And if people were looking for further signs of trouble, they were easy to find.

Our whole government is “out of touch with voter concerns”!!!

They’ve decided it was their job to TELL US what our “concerns” are and completely forgotten what their function actually is.

Democrats can be out of touch, they don’t actually have to win anymore. This isn’t rocket science.

George Snuffleluffagus took on the role of point man for the Democrats attempting a Come-to-Jesus meeting with FJB. Despite Obama’s public display of “support”, the left can’t hide their game anymore.
