the left wants Biden dead too, he is just their useful idiot though, they know everyone cant unsee what they saw on TV on Thursday night, EVERYONE was watching..EVERYONE, no matter what Biden does now its over, he can go on stage and do a lil dance and it wont matter..he’s done..so they will attempt to kill Biden in his sleep, say that he died peacefully in his sleep, all the stress killed him, heck they will blame it on Trump, say that Trump killed him

[It is odd….
CNN polling Trump vs. Biden since Aug 2023

Polling Data CNN

POLLSTER DATE SAMPLE MOE

CNN

6/28 - 6/30 1045 RV 3.7 49 43 Trump +6

4/18 - 4/23 967 RV 3.8 49 43 Trump +6

1/25 - 1/30 1212 RV 3.4 49 45 Trump +4

10/27 - 11/2 1271 RV 3.4 49 45 Trump +4

8/25 - 8/31 1259 RV 3.6 47 46 Trump +1]

Not all odd. The split second reaction time required for debates obviously deteriorates with age. Political office requires slow burn rumination, not split second reaction times. If debate performance determined political viability, we’d be governed by twenty somethings.

Debates are a contest between rival sophists. In TV debates, though, affect seems like a much bigger deal than what’s actually said. JFK came off better than Nixon because Nixon shunned makeup, came off looking sweaty and unshaven compared to Kennedy’s matinee idol cool. Radio listeners thought Nixon did better, but by the 60s TV watchers formed the overwhelming majority of the debate audience. Thanks to his underwhelming affect on TV, Nixon went from anointed heir to Eisenhower’s era of peace, strength and prosperity to also-ran.

But we’re no longer in the 1960s, when TV debates were a novel phenomenon. TV audiences are jaded, such that a debate may be just a debate, without much effect on voter intent. Would the typical Trump voter have changed his mind if Trump’s performance had been abysmal?

The upshot of 6/28 is Biden’s affect was terrible. A veteran debater had an off day. But all the policy reasons voters had for voting one way or the other remain. Is Trump less detestable for those who hate his guts? Is Biden less likeable to his fans? If anything, Biden gets the sympathy vote. For his fans, a lion in winter, but nonetheless a lion. If post debate polls are any indicator, the effect on Biden’s numbers were minimal, with a downtick of a point or two.

Democrat contenders and consultants not in Biden’s inner circle aren’t worried about the Democrat party’s future. They saw a chink in his armor and were hoping to drive a truck thru it for personal gain. Openings for presidential nominations, and fresh slots in their entourages, don’t grow on trees.

But so far, nothing has changed. Away from CNN, every one of them polls worse than Biden. He’s a conniving bastard, but generally regarded as a nice guy.

We have to keep the “anyone but Trump” vote in mind, even though it torques me to no end. I do think the sit-it-out Biden crowd is probably growing, though.

Trump can minimize that crowd by picking a VP like Gabbard instead of Ramaswammy, Burgum, etc.

Also…

The Trump “ felony convictions” have had time to become cemented into the voter thinking with little to no negative affect on Trump’s numbers….he only gets stronger.

I have not heard of any ad campaign featuring Biden’s performance from the debates. Seems like a no-brainer unless Trump prefers to run against Biden in which case they might be keeping some powder dry until the Dems figure out if they want to throw Sleepy Joe over the side of the boat.

More

Biden approval rating is a DISMAL 36% (the lowest level recorded in his presidency per this poll);
- 75% of respondents said the Democrats have a better chance at winning if Biden was not their nominee (56% of Democrats say this);

No change after that train wreck? Impossible, does not add up. It is inconceivable there would be no change after such an event. Not plausible.

This is crushing to the Never Trumpers. NO CHANGE FROM THE LAST CNN POLL.

And no surprise.

The big change is from the polling average in 2020, which was +7.5 Biden.

And with that polling result (the actual result was alleged to be +4.5 Biden) Biden got the swing states by only a few 10s of thousands added up across the several.

There is nothing they can do other than assassination. I’m talking to the Never Trumper Swamp Filth and I don’t put it past them — since the Trump controlled RNC will be erasing all consultant contracts to them.

I think there is some inertia at the polling agencies, they will reflect more dramatic change as it sinks in that Biden is done, whether as he resigns or calls grow for him to resign.

Not sure Trump has gotten stronger, except in fundraising. His poll numbers haven’t moved. That his conviction did not crash his polls spiked his fundraising numbers. No one wants to donate to a losing campaign.

Between the average +4 bias in 2020 (poll vs actual) and the average +1 lead we’re seeing, the odds are of a 5 point win for Trump. Donors are lining up behind Trump because while not a landslide, this is increasingly looking like a lock. The conviction and the debates are just noise reinforcing the status quo trend - a clear Trump victory.

A powerful thing this does for Trump . . . no more pretense. No more thinking about political careerists.

He doesn’t have to chase Electoral Votes. He can select a Swamp Drainer — which would be Michael Flynn, Ben Carson, Vivek R. Anyone with no political career, and he can also come February inform the Congress GOP that he will not support anyone with over 6 years Swamp immersion.

It is an era of nihilism upcoming, and there be no better reason than that governance got us $36T debt.

Real life is not a civics textbook. In politics, challengers turf their leaders not because they have to, but because they can. A CFO will connive with the board of directors to replace the CEO because it’s good to be CEO, and there’s no inherent right for anyone to be CEO, so why not the CFO?

Democrat contenders and consultants not in Biden’s inner circle aren’t worried about the Democrat party’s future. They should include in these polls a chimpanzee running on the Democratic ticket.

The chimp would probably get at least 40%.
