Ukraine released thousands of prisoners to fight on the frontlines of the war with Russia as the country’s military struggles with low manpower.
Inmates are being offered a choice: stay in prison and serve out their sentences or join the fight against Russia in exchange for the possibility of parole, according to The Associated Press. The policy is a first for Ukraine as the country double-times its efforts to bring more people into the military in the ongoing fight against Russia, which has a considerably higher manpower advantage.

But we were assured that they were “advancing on all fronts”.
How can this be?
May the grift come to a swift and ignoble end for the Brandon admin and all its puppets.
Ex con soldier: If this gig doesn’t work out I’m heading for the American southern border to cross over and get treated like royalty in a luxury hotel with a spending money pre-loaded Master Card like other ex-cons.
Friend: Me, too. I hope the free Obama phone has a good quality camera.
How? Are you pardoned if you survive a single battle? Not a chance. It is trading prison for a death sentence.
we did the same thing in WW2
Look to be running out of men?
They’ve run out of men and munitions 16 times already.
I really appreciated the LOL late last night.
Commies, Marxists, islamists and their sympathizers destroying the western world are now called the blah, blah homo blah something-
riotously LOL hysterical.
It’s very leftist to rename entities for disassociation purposes.
For the 1,862nd time I don’t give a hoot about Ukraine and the only folks besides Ancel trying to pass off a second world gas station with nukes as something that it isn’t are the commie KGB stooge Putin sympathizers.
Seems like a bad deal.
Zelenskii may regret that decision. Doesn’t he understand that he should not trust the loyalty of his troops. Putin can offer these untrustworthy troops a better deal and turn them against Zelenskii.
The war needed to end years ago for the sake of the Ukranians. But our government want it to continue so they could get rid of their expiring ammunition and obsolete equipment and keep the drug labs and child pipeline going for the elites.
The “Russia Bad, Ukraine Good” brigade is willing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian life.
They are very brave.
I believe that the war will be over before a year is up with Russia holding onto Easter Ukraine and Rump Ukraine will be neutral.
>>They’ve run out of men and munitions 16 times already.<<
Easy solution — moh American money(now that Biden is still in charge)
Wish I’d saved it but one of them actually suggested giving Ukraine U.S. nukes.
Ukraine gets to hold on to Odessa. So it remains as a viable country.
After the war ends, I would encourage Ukraine to develop nuclear weapons.
More than likely.
Saddam did the same.
The nuclear genie is out in the bottle. I think with it in the next decade or so nuclear weapons are going to proliferate and many countries will have them.
The war needed to end years ago for the sake of America that foots the bill.
Ukraine is going to be a great place to find a wife when this is all over. It will like one man left for every 1000 women.
Ukraine ping
wr: [The Ukrainians look to be running out of men and the thuggish press gangs are coming up empty. This war needs to end for the sake of the Ukrainians.]
“You were an offender, now you’re a war hero,” Prigozhin tells one man in the clip. It was the first video to depict the return of some of the thousands of convicts who joined Wagner in return for the promise of a pardon if they survived six months of war.
Reuters used facial recognition software to examine this video and more than a dozen other videos and photographs of homecoming convict fighters, published between October 2022 and February 2023. Reporters were able to identify more than 30 of the men by cross-checking the images with social media and Russian court documents.
In their ranks are murderers, thieves and a self-declared “Satanist.” Several are in hospital recovering from wounds sustained in the fighting. Reuters managed to make contact with 11 of these men. Five agreed to be interviewed by phone and messaging app. What follows is the most detailed insider account yet of Wagner’s convict army: the fighters’ recruitment and training, the combat they saw in Ukraine, and their uncertain future in a Russia turned upside down by war with its neighbour.]
