Donald Trump’s lawyers on Monday asked the New York judge who presided over his hush money trial to set aside his conviction and delay his sentencing scheduled for later this month.

The letter to Judge Juan M. Merchan cited the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling earlier Monday and asked the judge to delay Trump’s sentencing while he weighs the high court’s decision and how it could influence the New York case, the people said.

The people could not discuss details of the letter before it was made public and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Merchan is going to do whatever it takes to get Trump behind bars and highly likely separated from his security...Don’t think they would love nothing better than to take Trump out...That is why I would not return to NYC.

I need to research the exact date but he claimed the White House was going to pull the trigger on Interstate travel restrictions due to COVID-19. Nothing happened and he never issued an update, clarification, etc. that’s one of the more egregious examples of that click-bating hack.

And Posibiec could have had any number of FReepers on his show who thoughtfully predicted there would be a sentence of jail time weeks ago. If Posibiec had some smarts he would have a criminal lawyer on with experience who could provide comments. Davis has limited experience in criminal law.

I like Mike Davis - but tastes vary.

I also understand why people get annoyed by headlines with the word “BREAKING!!” or “BOOM!!” or Tic Toc!, people pimping their blogs, and other clickbait nonsense.

However, there is so much deception in government - these cases are like puzzles you piece together over a long period of time and you don’t always know where a missing piece is going to come from. For that reason, I try not to get so annoyed that I write off potentially good sources.

I find the Hoft brothers annoying, but I read them anyway because sometimes I’m glad I did. I sometimes find Tucker annoying -,but sane thing. Others like BIll O’Reilly, I just can’t stand - people say I should listen to him but I just can’t.

My understanding is the President can’t parson someone convicted of a state crime. Only the governor can do that.

I see on X that the July 11 Trump sentencing has been cancelled by Merchan with no objection by Bragg’s office, pending review of recent SCOTUS rulings and a filing made by Trump’s legal team.

The DNC, Jack Smith, AG Garland, Biden and the DC Marxist cabal are having a terrible, no good, awful, very bad month.
