I was puzzled by “made sugar water for the hummingbirds in the crockpot last night”.
What am I not doing that I should be lol? I just mix the sugar with distilled or spring water in a measuring cup - I don’t even heat it. They seem to like it, but maybe I could up my game and get more of the little guys!

I think his greatest influence now and especially later would have been as VP and then President. Although I am greatly disappointed, I’m working on leaving it in the Hands of Divine Providence who has plans for America in these last days.
Maybe American Patriots, as sampled here on FR, wouldn’t be ready to elect Vivek in 2028. Too many wrongly think he is not a citizen (he is constitutionally a natural born citizen = NBC) and too many are stuck on the Hindu thing even though Vivek talks about faith in God more than most others in a very practical and meaningful way. Maybe more people need to know that Jesus can save Hindus as well Deists as some our our Founders were.
I just know that Vivek is one of the few that has the heart and mind needed to restore America’s Free Constitutional Republic. I wanted it to be “NOW”. (But I always want things now.) I just don’t want him to ever become a politician but keep that spirit that is independent from and defiant towards the mostly corrupt Washington D.C., at this point, America’s greatest enemy. (Not sure Vance gets that, nor Trump for that matter. Vivek’s vision supersedes Trump’s vision by focusing on the greatest threat to our way of life: the 80%+, $3 trillion unconstitutional portion of the federal government which is now effectively totalitarian.)
May God bless and restore America as a light to the world in these last days to save as many as possible before that Great and Terrible Day to come very soon.

Two grandmothers from Texas became media sensations recently for completing a journey around the world in eighty days at the age of eighty-one. The globetrotting best friends of twenty-three years traveled to all seven continents. They started in Antarctica, tangoed in Argentina, rode camels in Egypt, and took a sleigh ride while at the North Pole. They visited eighteen countries including Zambia, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Japan, and Italy and ended their trip in Australia. The duo said they hoped they’d inspired future generations to enjoy traveling the world, regardless of their age.
In Exodus, we read about two octogenarians who were recruited by God for a different kind of adventure of a lifetime. He called Moses to go to Pharaoh and demand he free God’s people from bondage. God sent Moses’ older brother Aaron for support. “Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh” (Exodus 7:7).
This request would feel daunting at any age, but God had handpicked these brothers for this assignment, and they followed His instructions. “So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded” (v. 10).
Moses and Aaron had the honor of witnessing God deliver His people from more than four hundred years of slavery. These men demonstrate that He can use us at any age. Whether we’re young or older, let’s follow Him wherever He leads.

No matter its stated reasons, no matter how misguided its policy, the United States administration, advised by its historically anti-Israel Department of State, is putting severe pressure on Israel to stop fighting Hamas in Gaza, without permitting it first to achieve its war aim of complete destruction of this threat to its existence. They are doing it without regard for the consequences to Israel, its population, and to the Western world.
Given the arrogance of the Biden administration’s dictating a suicidal wartime policy to an allied government which must answer to its own people, it is instructive to consider the potential consequences, had similar pressure been imposed upon the United States during WWII to stop its war against Japan’s military, to relinquish the accomplishment of its war aims, and to negotiate, in 1944, a ceasefire with Japan’s military totalitarian government.
It is mid-1944. The U.S. military has secured Saipan and the other Mariana Islands and is preparing to build there a complex of airbases from which the new B-29 long range bombers would historically burn down many Japanese cities and kill hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilian noncombatants.
But in this imagined scenario, it is not to be.
A confluence of pressures demands that the U.S. military cease its operations against Japan, and, rather than continuing to completion what was its historic policy of demanding unconditional surrender, the United States government is compelled to negotiate a ceasefire with Japan’s military government.
Such pressure potentially could have come from politics in this, a presidential election year. It could have come from friends or allies; from an American public concerned with the deaths of too many Japanese civilians during the Saipan campaign, or because of the mounting casualty figures among U.S. military personnel.
