Chris Wallace, the moderator of the sole debate between President Biden and President Trump in 2020, said that lost the presidency due to his performance that night.
Biden and Trump will face off against each other Thursday in a CNN-hosted debate in Atlanta.
“I actually think it was one of the most consequential presidential debates in history,” Wallace said Wednesday on “The Source with Kaitlan Collins” on CNN. “I actually think Donald Trump lost the presidency in that debate by his performance. He dropped about 4 or 5 points. He never regained it.”
Wallace, who worked at Fox News in 2020, is now an anchor for CNN.
Wallace added that the “key question” for Thursday’s debate is, “Has he learned his lesson?”

Biden was running as a moderate, and did not have a record.
I obviopusly did. Where were you in 2020?
Maybe, but the election is decided by a small margin of 1 to 2% of eligible voters. Kind of have to cater to them if you want to win an election.

Your whole post was an ad hominem against The Donald.
Please, my FRiend, my post #59 was NOT about issues. It was about the art of stage presence, and how it affects the audience.
Through decades of political exposure, Biden learned its mastery, and its signal importance for that occasion.
Either Trump in the particular event ignored that quality, or deliberately misused it; and very frankly, it hurt him badly in the eyes of many observers.
My point was that President Trump was ALWAYS behind in 2020. He closed well though.
Many female voters were turned off by Trump's antics.
However, due to Biden's ****-ups and lawfare by the Deep State, Trump is back in the game tonight.
But he needs to play it cool. Stick to the game plan.
You'd go a lot farther and get a lot more people to hear your message if you didn't start off like that.
Donald Trump was in the first stage of Covid, for goodness sakes!
He must have felt awful
Should have cancelled the debate.
Oh sure…….his detractors would have eaten him for lunch!……even more!
Preferable than Donald's performance during the debate in 2020.
I know. You are right. I can’t help myself. But I am so angry that I will live to see the nation destroyed and I have no power to stop it, and the people that do are so goddamned stupid
Incorrect. I critiqued his performance in the debate. I did not call him a silly name. Google “ad hominem.’
