Bolivian President Luis Arce sharply criticized the NATO military alliance in an exclusive interview with Sputnik just over two weeks ago, on June 7, on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024.
“I believe that NATO's actions are putting world peace at risk,” the leader insisted. “We have seen it not only here in Europe, but also in Latin America,” he noted, referring to the bloc’s attempts to form partnerships with the historical US ally Colombia and, more recently, with Javier Milei’s Argentina. “We see with great concern that NATO is acting in several countries in the region where it previously did not participate, where it did not exist.”

Encroachment! Encroachment!
The stench of cheap vodka and borscht are all over the place.
When is the invasion?
Bolivia’s oil output is down 50% over the past 10 years, currently 77K barrels/day.
Domestic consumption is about 90K. This has evolved into incremental importing where once they could export.
They also have natural gas in small amounts and planned to export that to Argentina. But Argentina’s Vaca Muerta shale is producing its own gas and Bolivia lost a customer.
This is the stuff of coups. Net negative oil is the real deal and doesn’t care about currency trading.
Sputnik. Yeah. I can smell the gas-lighting from here.
Straight KGB propoganda in support of a communist who ensures cocaine flows to the US
Bolivia has the world’s largest lithium reserves.
Do the math
Ummm... you do know that the current President of Bolivia is an admitted and open socialist, yes?
The socialists have also been blocking access to the enormous reserves of lithium that were recently discovered in Bolivia.
Don’t know what recently means. I think lithium in Bolivia has been know for decades.
It was thought that lithium was present, but the ‘recent’ part is that the deposits have been found close to or actually at the surface. An additional 2 million tons were found as well.
So?
It takes more than two weeks to organize a coup d’etat, so no.
It’s not as though the Bolivians woke up three weeks ago and decided to go to St. Petersburg. The Bolivians have been lobbying for BRICS membership, etc. What you saw in St. Petersburg was the end result in Bolivia of Putin’s incredibly successful diplomacy over the last two years and the West’s breathtaking loss of influence over the same period. The CIA has a contingency plan to overthrow every government in the world. Just check the record. Their plan in Slovakia was to just assassinate Fico. Hell, the CIA showed their plan for the U.S. with the coup of Trump.
Sputnik - nuff said
Nato- bad. Bolivian President-bad.
Sputnik = Russian lies
Give us a break from your constant Russo-garbage, already
Can you provide me any Western news outlets that are covering these comments (re: NATO) from the Bolivian president?
Bolivia could *really* use the money.
