Good evening, radu...any change in the heat?
Kinda warm here, but a nice breeze and clouds coming and going all day.

Bible in a Year :
Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one.
More than two hundred million people from a variety of faiths undertake a pilgrimage each year. For many throughout the ages, a pilgrim’s task has been to journey to a sacred place to receive some kind of blessing. It’s been all about reaching the temple, cathedral, shrine, or other destination where a blessing can be received.
Britain’s Celtic Christians, however, saw pilgrimage differently. They set out directionless into the wild or let their boats drift wherever the oceans took them—pilgrimage for them being about trusting God in unfamiliar territory. Any blessing was found not at the destination but along the journey.
Hebrews 11 was an important passage for the Celts. Since the life in Christ is about leaving the world’s ways behind and trekking like foreigners to the city of God (vv. 13-16), a pilgrimage echoed their life’s journey. By trusting God to provide along their difficult, untrodden path, the pilgrim grew the kind of faith lived by the heroes of old (vv. 1-12).
What a lesson to learn, whether we physically trek or not: for those who have trusted Jesus, life is a pilgrimage to God’s heavenly country, full of dark forests, dead ends, and trials. As we journey through, may we not miss the blessing of experiencing God’s provision along the way.
Reflect & Pray
How can you be open today to receiving God’s gifts along life’s path? How can you remind yourself that this world, as it is now, isn’t your real home?
Dear God, thank You for showing me that life’s trials are opportunities for me to grow a deeper faith in You.

Good evening, Pro...is summer here? Hot?
We are bouncing between mid 60s and low 70s, Wish it would rain.
Howdy, Kathy.
Today was the hottest yet - - 98 degrees and muggy, muggy, muggy.
Then some rain came through a couple of hours ago and the temp dropped to 78 in a hurry. Still sprinkling a little. We’ll take every drop we can get.
I’ve seen it’s been another pretty day up there but that weird fog bank has been over the inlet again. Not sure if it’s still there now because the last cam op left the cam parked, aimed at the mountains, instead of putting it on auto so it’ll pan back and forth.
Hump Day is finally here! I hope you’ll have an early bedtime tonight. You probably need that big time.
Back in a bit. I have a strong craving for a milkshake and am off to satisfy the need. LOL
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Evening, Kathy!
The suspense is incredible: For the first time in three weeks it looks as though some serious, truly measurable rain might reach me in less than an hour!
Good evening, lightman...we will NEVER forget.
Have you done any better in the rain department? We have not.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued less than five minutes ago...I’ll put up with the wind to get the rain!
FOUR times over the past five days I have offered the petition:
“For favorable weather, for an abundance of the fruits of the earth, and for peaceful times; let us pray to the Lord...”
The answer is coming in approaching thunder.
Keeping all appendages crossed you get lucky. Maybe get more than we did. We got almost .3 of an inch earlier this evening. Not nearly enough but anything’s better than nothing after 2 and a half weeks with none.

Hey Kathy, we’re into typical summer temps, 80’s, creeping into the 90’s, nothing unusual.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Hope you are feeling well, and thankfully we made it thru hump day.
0.2 inches so far...looks like more is on the way before or after midnight but irrespective that is the most I’ve had in THREE weeks!
