Exclusive: Watch — Sen. Steve Daines: The More Biden Talks in Debate, the Better It’s Going to be for Trump

BELGRADE, Montana — Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and a top ally of former President Donald Trump, told Breitbart News exclusively that there is simply one thing Democrat President Joe Biden can do that will help Trump in Thursday’s debate: talk.

“The more that Joe Biden talks in this debate, the better it’s going to be for President Trump,” Daines told Breitbart News in a long-form exclusive on-camera interview at his home just outside Bozeman in his home state of Montana.

Daines sat down on Monday afternoon with Breitbart News for a lengthy interview explaining Senate Republicans’ plans to retake the U.S. Senate majority in November and the broader stakes of the election. In the broader upcoming hourlong interview, the GOP senator charged with leading the Republicans’ electoral strategy in 2024 explains for the first time in great detail the plan and key issues facing the nation, as well as his close working relationship with Trump. In this first clip from the interview, Daines focuses on Thursday’s presidential debate, where he believes that if Trump sticks to the issues and fundamentals while allowing Biden to implode on such a massive stage, it will be an easy victory for the former president.

Daines also said that Democrats are likely to have to jack Biden up on caffeine to get him through Thursday evening.

“They’re probably going to have to give Joe Biden about five or six Red Bulls to keep him going, but, just, there’s an old saying in politics: ‘When your opponent is melting, don’t become a shadow,’” Daines said.

Agree with Daines; Trump today admitted he made a huge mistake in the first 2020 debate by constantly interrupting Senile. Instead, he needed to let Senile talk, wind down and he starts acting like the simpleton he is, the public sees it.

Or how many times he zones out in the middle of a sentence and says anyway ...

Corn Pop was a bad dude.

Trump just needs to focus on what he’s going to do for the country he’s at the point where Joe needs the trajectory of the race to change. If Donald is disciplined and barely notices Biden expect for the occasional zinger. He’s got this.

“BELGRADE”

Perhaps far enough away from the Peoples’ Republic of Bozeman to be safe for RINOs?

Adderall, Botox and a B12 shot in the butt: Why Trump’s claim that Biden will be ‘pumped up’ on drugs for debate isn’t so far-fetched

I loved Reagan’s response from question, “Have you ever made mistakes in your life?”—then “ Well yes, you see, I was once a Democrat.”

Mark my words.

The Moderators will step in as soon as Joe Biden starts drifting off.

They can’t do much about his stuttering or lying but they can intervene when he goes off track or gets confused.

Jobama will have a mini teleprompter built into the podium table.
If he keeps looking down, he’s reading. Biden can’t possibly memorize his answers without screwing up.

I heard Biden was getting prepped by 16 different advisors. That could be good news for Trump.

The moderators have pre scripted short questions and Biden has one word answers. Ready to go this will be so boring.

Yes, 90 minutes to wear Biden out and let the drugs run down. Trump just needs to be polite, presidential, and not go for the bate from the two moderators and Biden.

I hope Trump's biggest challenge to have to choose between watching Biden fall over or have a brain freeze and stepping over to catch his fall or ask if he's okay.

No, he spent 47 years in Congress, as long as he is coherent, he’ll be fine. It is when he drifts off, freezes, gets lost that he fails. If they have him rested and the drugs fine-tuned, he’s dangerous because he, with the moderator’s help will bait Trump.

Yes, they might mute Biden moreso that Trump, quickly asking Trump a question to divert attention from Biden.

Good thing is Trump thinks on his feet. If he is disciplined and at the top of his game, he'll be fine.

My worry is if Trump goes in, chip on his shoulder, hostile to moderators from the opening moment. He's never done anything like Ramaswammy did in that one debate, but he needs to be the statesman as everyone will be watching. Everyone.

Truth serum in his Cream of Rice before the debate would be a lot of laughs.

At least one spy thriller had someone given a drug that simply makes the person talk and if there’s a break in the conversation will talk some more. Babble juice. Would make Joe talk about various Dem scandals and secret deals for years. He’s been there 50 years in the Swamp.
