Video footage shows California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom appearing to blame Republicans and conservative media for the state’s failures during his “State of the State” address on Tuesday.
While addressing the state, Newsom discussed the problems facing residents living in areas governed by Democrats. “You hear wall-to-wall, right-wing media coverage about lawless blue cities and blue states,” he said, according to video footage circulating on social media. “In fact, California’s violent crime rate is about half of what it was in the 1990s.”
The governor continued, claiming that California’s “values and our way of life are the antidote to the poisonous populism on the right and the fear and anxiety that so many people are feeling today.”
He touted the Golden State as the model for the rest of the world. “People across the globe, they look to California to see what’s possible. Now we can live together and advance together and prosper together across every conceivable and imaginable difference,” Newsom said.
“But the California way of life we recognize is under attack,” he continued. “For conservatives and delusional California bashers, their success depends on our failure.”
California has been losing residents at a rapid clip over recent years due to concerns over housing prices, crime and politics. More than 817,000 Californians relocated to other states in 2022, a significant increase from the migration rate in 2021, according to Reform California.

Look at page one of the Democrat play book - Whenever one of your policies cause more problems then it is fixed - blame someone else but never, ever, change the policy.
You cannot underestimate Gavin and his delusion. He is a very dangerous man because he actually believes what he is saying. He is not a dumb man, he is smart enough to be the democratic front runner for president. Yeah, biden isn’t gonna make it to election day. I still think gavin is gonna take over and eventually beat trump.

That’s b/c violent crimes have been downgraded to misdemeanors - dropped altogether by the DA - or the perps not even charged. I suspect some victims won’t even bothering any longer seeing how little to nothing is done - ask those business owners who are being subjected to repeated shoplifting gangs while “the authorities” stand by.
Of course, Newsom and his family are protected by 24/7 armed security and live behind gated and guarded walls.
Just recently, this hypocrite:
“...has moved his children to an exclusive private school in Marin County, away from their current home in Sacramento. The decision was made so that his eldest child, Montana, can attend The Branson School, a private school with tuition fees of up to $60,000 a year.”
Why aren’t your children in the local public schools? Aren’t they good enough for your own children, Newsom? The public schools that you keep touting, supporting and pushing on the rest of us.
That must take a lot of brain power, look at Biden.
Of course it’s the taxes - and if Prop 13 is overturned or done away with, as Newsom et. al are trying furiously to do, there will be a further exodus from the state as property taxes soar - to fund more of Newsom’s failed lefty policies.
You could be right - but imagine the outrage from Biden’s base, black women, etc., if Kamala Harris is passed over and tossed under the bus for a “straight, white male...”
I use to talk S and demean Kamala. She’s one slip and fall away from the oval office. People like Kamala and Gavin, they are serpents. They must not be underestimated.

He’ll claim they’re no longer needed - and ignore rampant crime, just as he does now.
