Federal court backs Missouri AG motion to block Biden's 'illegal' student loan handout plan

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri granted his motion to block what he called President Biden’s latest illegal student loan handout scheme.

Bailey said that Congress never gave Biden the authority to saddle working Americans with half-a-trillion dollars in other people's debt and that this is a huge win for the Constitution.

Bailey told FOX Business exclusively that it's a huge win for the rule of law.

"The Constitution makes clear that Joe Biden does not get to thwart Congress when it suits his political agenda. The Constitution will continue to mean something as long as I'm Attorney General," Bailey said.

Bailey said his lawsuit targeted what the federal government calls the "SAVE" Plan, which in reality would have cost Americans $475 billion – $45 billion more than its last unlawful student loan plan. The Court’s order blocks the student loan handout from taking effect on July 1st.

Not to be too cynical here, but the farking bastard defied the Supreme Court. He certainly will not stop because some District Court told him to stop. The arule of Law means nothing to him. He is a tyrant.

This is a huge win for the Constitution and a dedicated win for the rule of law.

The knowledgeable, pro-America Missouri AG Andrew Bailey said that Congress never gave
Biden authority to saddle working-class Americans with half-a-trillion dollars in other people’s debt.

Why do struggling Americans trying to feed their families
have to support deadbeats who refuse to payoff their loans?

“Story broke late yesterday afternoon.”

I see that now. But usually, there are five different articles on FR when a federal judge makes such a ruling.

I’ve been so busy following current SCOTUS news I must have totally missed them all. LOL!

The GOP really wants to lose this election.

“Why do struggling Americans trying to feed their families

It’s more punishment for conservatives, I am convinced.

I got an email yesterday from an NGO ( this is who distributes the $$ after a natural catastrophe) bragging about the homes given to Almeda fire victims... brand new $200,000 mobile homes in a fancy new park. But only for welfare or immigrants who have never owned a home!
And do remember, these people have been put up in hotels at your expense for nearly 4 years!

I was curious what fire refugees were actually receiving.

I got $25,000. 3 years later Biden decided that was a loan, so I paid them all of it. Not good enough! They now take my social security checks every month for$10,000
Interest!

I’m beyond discouraged.
It never ends.
Bottom line. Only the welfare and”immigrants” will get help. If you are outspoken and a Trump supporter... YOU PAY.

Here’s the letter...I get this crap every day telling me what they have done for other fire refugees. I apply for everything available and it’s a cluster—— every day trying to deal with them.
If you ever had anything or were self sufficient before, you go to the bottom of the list.

There is no “forgiveness” for these loans - they are paid off by taxpayers.

Nice to have your student loans paid off by blue collar workers who didn’t attend college.

And BTW.. I paid off my stupid kids student loans they didn’t bother to tell me they took out plus $10,000 a nephew owed. Me or my family has never cost the taxpayers a dime, even after being burned out by BLM/Antifa. GoFundMe, FB wouldn’t allow me a fundraiser because I am conservative.
It’s mostly liberals who owe these loans. They are still being handed out willy nilly.

“Wow. You are a very good Aunt and mother”

Not to hear them tell it! They hate my political positions. I just paid my family’s debts instead of letting taxpayers do it.
Not one of them would give me a bed to sleep in when I was a refugee. I never hear from any of them unless they need something.

That is so sad! I can’t even imagine...

We took care of our parents during their golden years — financial, 24/7 care, etc.

Yes, I did the same for my mother and stepfather. My dad died when I was 15. I supported my mother from then until 1990 when she passed. I’m so glad she can’t see what has become of me.

Thank you for being a good daughter. It’s terrifying out here alone and sick.

Yep. The debt is just transferred. And remember part of the cost of ACA Obamacare was going to be offset by the government taking over student loans. So everything will be more costly to the taxpayer if this Biden travesty is allowed to stand.

BTW, here is an article by Professor Somin on the two rulings from yesterday on the issue.

We spent a lot more money bailing out banks, car companies, and airlines.

From the (great) article you posted:

“...both of the judges who issued the rulings were Democratic Barack Obama appointees.”
