What’s in it for DeSantis?
Trump would have to move from Florida, and I don’t see that happening.
Per the US Constitution, the President and Vice-President cannot be from the same state.
I doubt very much that it will be DeSantis.
I don’t know what Republican voters are thinking about, but they are not thinking about what it takes to extend and expand MAGA past 2024 to 2028 and beyond. America MUST be saved and the Left defeated.
Trump’s VP will be the presumptive Presidential frontrunner in 2028 after Trump’s wildly successful 4-year term. Politician DeSantis as President in 2028? No.
The ONLY one on the national stage who has consistently stood for the actual plan to bring down the unconstitutional portion of the feds and restore America’s Free Constitutional Republic is non-politician Vivek who does not mince words about what needs to be done to deal with the greatest enemy of America - her own mostly unconstitutional federal government.

It would remove DeSantis from FL governor’s office - and he’s probably the best governor in the nation. He should stay in FL and continue to be the best governor in the nation - Trump doesn’t need him to win, and DeSantis will hopefully be a far stronger presidential candidate in 2028.
Due to their seriously negative public treatment of each other this is a non starter for me.
Keep Reagan’s 11th commandment. Disagree about policy but don’t do the personal insults etc. It comes back to bite you.
Doesn’t matter if he’s the favorite of people. It ain’t going to happen.
DeSantis has already said he is not interested in being VP.
Rubio has had months to reestablish residency but he hasn’t done so.
As a resident of Florida, I say:
“We need this man. He fights!”
I’d rather have him as an active, aggressive Governor than a second string Vice President.
I say sanders or Gabbard. The latter helps Trump more.

I doubt that it will be DeSantis, but I think that he would be a better choice than anyone else that has been mentioned.

Trump’s VP is his insurance policy. Whoever it is needs to be seen by the Left as being at least as frightening as Trump
