CNN host Kasie Hunt abruptly ended an interview with Donald Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday morning after she repeatedly bashed her colleague Jake Tapper.
With three days to go until the first presidential debate, Hunt asked Leavitt how the Republican was preparing for his showdown with President Joe Biden.
Leavitt accused Biden of ‘hiding away’ while Trump was preparing to ‘go into a hostile environment on this very network with debate moderators who have made their opinions about him very well known over the past eight years.’
She said Tapper and Dana Bash are ‘biased’, prompting Hunt to jump in and insist they were ‘professional’.
Hunt warned Leavitt she would shut down the interview if she kept targeting Tapper and Bash, then asked if the bar for the debate was set ‘low’ for Trump.
‘Well, first of all, it takes someone five minutes to Google Jake Tapper, Donald Trump to see that Jake Tapper…’, Leavitt began.
Hunt cut her off and said she was welcome to return to speak about Donald Trump.
Hunt then tweeted: 'You come on my show, you respect my colleagues. Period. I don’t care what side of the aisle you stand on, as my track record clearly shows.'

To pick an extreme example ... Josef Goebbels was professional.
I suspect they laid down ‘rules’ for the debate in such a way as to favor Biden, thinking Trump would never accept those rules. Then they could say “Trump is afraid to debate him”
But Trump said ‘OK’ and now they are wetting their pants.
Why do we still call these idiot shows “debates”?
