Trump needs to make this his number one positive campaign ad and every Republican running in 2024 needs to run this campaign ad. That’s a winning issue.

This is both a righteous and clever move by President Trump and Senator Cruz

If tips aren’t taxed, what about bonuses? They are like tips.

Never add tips to credit card. Always tip cash.

It is a great proposal and dispels the left’s meme that tax cuts only benefit the wealthy.

I wonder if anyone has made the argument that tips are gifts not income.

I think it’s a good idea because the money will be spent locally instead of wasted by the Feds.

I always ask if the establishment pools their tips. If not, I leave cash. If so, it’s CC.

No tax on tips is a great idea.

To make $3 an hour and get taxed on an assumed $10 an hour is just wrong.

So, glad this proposal would help rectify that.

Sadly, DD said drunks and bikers tipped the best. Worst were Christians and businesswomen :(

Republicans are great at talking, posturing and posing. Actually getting something done is another matter.

What a stupid idea, and Cruz knows better. He’s become quite the brown nose.

Tips are income and should be taxed.

I pay taxes on income. Most of the rest of us pay taxes income. Tips should be taxed.

Income tax paying voters should be pissed about this. I am.

With Trump, the thing is never the thing.

This is a wedge issue, aimed at a voter segment that the demoncrats depend on for votes.

Trump has steadily made inroads into the youth vote with NTFs, crypto, sneakercon, tips, etc.

He has made inroads into the black vote - particulary males.

Like the camel’s nose under the tent, it raises the issue of taxation as well.

Strategery, and I’m all for it.

Unfortunately, Rush isn’t here to explain it to reactionaries.

Tips are curently taxed. What spending reductions or offsetting taxes is Cruz proposing to offset the taxes lost by his proposal and avoid increaing the deficit and debt, or does Cruz merely what to boost his popularity and the debt and deficit don’t matter. Isn’t that how we’ve gotten to where we are. The Dims have no brake on spending and the GOP has no break on tax cuts, and operating together that way they amount to irresponsibility of both parties. The Dims GIVE the GOP their tax cuts and the GOP let’s the Dims increased spending go forward. That duoploy is against all of us.
