Nigel Farage has said the West "provoked" Russia's invasion of Ukraine by expanding the European Union and Nato military alliance eastwards.
But he added that the expansion of the EU and Nato gave him a "reason" to tell the Russian people "they're coming for us again".
In an interview with the BBC's Nick Robinson, Mr Farage was challenged over his judgement and past statements, including when he named Russian President Vladimir Putin as the world leader he most admired in 2014.
"I said I disliked him as a person, but admired him as a political operator because he's managed to take control of running Russia," Mr Farage said

NATO and the West have been hugely provocative—and duplicitous in dealing with Russia.
And a planned war whereby Russia is forced into being an ally of China is bad news for us.
But Russia didn’t respond until after a full decade of massive threats and provocation, so what are you talking about?
Putin didn’t need a reason to invade Ukraine. He was going to do it sooner or later.

Especially with NATO expanding eastward to his doorstep….the US can not be trusted, remember Baker’s promise when the Berlin Wall came down? …
“ NATO will not move one inch Eastward “, Liar.
Time to suffer the consequences.

boom!
Russia is still winning, filling its pockets with $$$ energy revenues, 70 billion last month…while the collective West is plunging further into bankruptcy.
Yep. Its obvious to anybody who looks at the issue.
Ukraine was never officially invited into NATO. Ukraine kept asking but NATO kept kicking that can down the road with “some day.” Nor was NATO expansion ever used as an excuse for Russia’s invasion of 2014. Putin, on the other hand, thinks that he should be able to do whatever he wants in Ukraine and no one should complain or offer Ukraine help. Sometimes it is the bear that is doing the poking.
Farage again demonstrating the he and Reform UK are nothing more than Russian intelligence operatives.
The citizens of the United States can't even trust the U.S. government.
Fostering, supporting and financing all the corruption in Ukraine would qualify.
Yup.
The citizens of the United States can’t even trust the U.S. government.
In fact they consider half this country as radical enemies of the state. I’m surprised ANY foreign country trusts the U.S. government.
I knew you were a NeverTrump plant
lol
I suspect Putin issued an ultimatum that Ukraine ignored.
I can’t read Russian yet, but I will keep trying to learn to read Russian.
“In return for Ukraine giving up the hundreds of nukes and delivery systems they had at the end of the Cold War”
I understand that the “nukes and delivery systems” legally belonged to the Commonwealth of Independent States, the legal successor to the CCCP.
If North Dakota declared independence, the USAF nuclear missiles in the state would remain under Pentagon control.
A Major Anderson[Fort Sumter] type officer would not let the North Dakota National Guard seize the missiles.
On the contrary. When Trump broke publicly with the GOPe consensus defending the Iraq War, it helped his campaign a lot.
The Ukraine War and the UK support of it is a similar fiasco and Farage is the first major party candidate to state the obvious.
Based on whose reporting? Nowadays, money goes in and then goes out of Russia with little transparency. We do know though that Russian state finances are a shambles because of the cost of Putin’s war on Ukraine and the effect of sanctions. And Russia’s domestic economy is about the size of Indonesia’s.
Of course that’s the truth and any honest person won’t deny it. It’s a shame we have so many Leftist here.
