President Trump’s lawyers filed a motion to remove Judge Arthur Engoron from the NYC civil fraud case brought by Stalinist NY AG Letitia James.
Trump’s attorneys said Engoron should recuse after it was revealed the judge had an “improper” conversation about the civil fraud case with a real estate lawyer shortly before he issued ruling ordering Trump to pay a $454 million penalty.
The real estate attorney, Adam Leitman Bailey, revealed he had a conversation about the Trump case with Engoron during an interview with NBC New York in February.
“I know he respects my real estate knowledge,” Bailey said. “So I gave it to him. I gave him everything I knew. He had a lot of questions, you know about certain cases. We went over it.”
Trump’s lawyers argued that Judge Engoron might have been influenced by Adam Leitman Bailey.
The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct (NYSCJC) opened an investigation into Bailey’s conversation with Engoron last month.
NBC New York reported:
Former President Donald Trump’s legal team filed a motion Thursday calling on New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron to recuse himself from the Trump civil fraud case.
The 24-page filing said Judge Engoron should step aside in light of a state judicial conduct investigation launched last month. Sources familiar with the investigation said the probe is examining whether Engoron engaged in an improper conversation about the case with an expert real estate lawyer three weeks before issuing his $454 million penalty ruling.
That lawyer is Adam Leitman Bailey, who unexpectedly revealed his alleged interaction with the judge during two taped TV interviews with NBC New York in February.
“I wanted him to know what I think and why…I really want him to get it right,” Bailey said, repeating that it had been his intention to advise Engoron about the law in the Trump case and why harsh penalties would be bad for business in New York. Bailey later said he and the judge “never mentioned the word Donald Trump,” but when asked if it had been clear which case they had been discussing, Bailey responded “Well obviously we weren’t talking about the Mets.”
What the two succeeded in doing was to introduce Ex
parte information and testimony ILLEGALLY. Information and testimony that did not allow the defense ANY opportunity for cross examination. That the judge actually sought this out consciously is unconscionable and he should be sanctioned and the verdict thrown out.
Bailey said, repeating that it had been his intention to advise Engoron about the law.
Remove Engoron From NYC Civil Fraud Case.
Judge EnMORON is PURE EVIL!!
Remove Engoron From NYC........................
This is the very definition of a corrupt judge pre-judging a corrupt trial in a corrupt media blizzard.

(Odd. The democrat party’s national press corpse didn’t ever publicize these tapes, this interview did they? )
It would be a good start of cleaning up the state.
Disbar him would save other states

Trump SoHo New York is a $450 million hotel condominium. In February 2011, several prospective buyers of condominiums in the building, including French soccer star Olivier Dacourt, sued the developers in federal court, claiming that they had been tricked into buying the condos by the “deceptive” sales figures, and that the number of apartments sold at Trump Soho had been “fraudulently misrepresented.” The plaintiffs were represented by Bailey. The suit was settled with plaintiffs recovering 90 per cent of their deposits. Several years later, the case was described as “a watershed case in the world of condo litigation ... [C]ondo attorneys said that developers are now far more reluctant to disclose sales information to buyers’ attorneys, for fear of legal repercussions if they turn out to be wrong.”

“Public enemy No. 1 for developers”
“Although the Trump Organization manages the 46-story tower and is a joint-venture partner with Bayrock and Sapir, Donald Trump is not the developer, nor is he involved in the 391-unit condo conversion.”

Nathan Wade Spends Day at White House
Nathan Wade, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s top county prosecutor, spent eight hours in the White House counsel’s office on November 18, a meeting that came to light during discovery in the Fulton County case when lawyers for Mike Roman, one of Trump’s codefendants, received Wade’s billing records.

Wade’s billing records reveal he was present at the White House in his official capacity. He billed the State of Georgia for his expenses during the trip, even billing $250 an hour for eight hours at the White House.
That level of access to the White House is remarkable. There are approximately 2,400 elected county prosecutors, very few of whom ever receive an invitation to set foot on White House grounds, much less meet for hours with high-powered White House attorneys.
Wade was hired by Fulton County solely to assist with the Trump investigation. It is unknown what other official business he could have had meeting with the White House in his official capacity.
Wade played a critical role in reviving Willis’s stagnant prosecution of Trump, which appeared to accelerate with renewed vigor after Wade’s November 18 meeting.
Only days after that meeting, on December 15, 2022, the Fulton County special purpose grand jury issued a seal report recommending indictments against Trump and his codefendants. Trump was indicted months later in April 2023.
Wade resigned from the Trump case earlier this year after details of his personal relationship with Willis emerged.
That case has been postponed indefinitely after multiple issues, include Willis and Wade’s relationship and alleged coverup.
Michael Colangelo Leaves Biden Administration for Manhattan DA’s Office
The final of the three events of November 18 might be the most significant for Trump and has been the least understood until now.
Acting Associate Attorney General Michael Colangelo, one of the highest ranking law enforcement officers in the country, made the shocking career move late in 2022 to leave for an assistant prosecutor role in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.
News broke of Colangelo’s hire on Monday December 5, 2022. If giving a two-week notice, as is standard for government posts, and continuing working at DOJ until joining the Manhattan DA’s team, Colangelo would have submitted notice on Friday, November 18 – the same day Garland announced Smith’s appointment and Wade’s marathon meeting with the White House counsel’s office.
