Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer said that if elected, his government would take a hardline approach in policing “Islamophobia” as he looks to sure up Muslim support before the July 4th general election in Britain.
The government needs to take a “zero tolerance” approach to supposed anti-Islam statements not only made in real life but online as well, Sir Keir Starmer said in a video with London Mayor Sadiq Khan marking the of the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr.
The Labour leader said that Islamophobia in Britain has been “far too high for far too long,” adding: “We need to say over and over again, Islamophobia is intolerable, it can never ever be justified and we have to continue with a zero-tolerance approach.”

This is happening because the Muslims are voting as a block - which for politicians in a Parliamentary system, means either support their demands or lose.
They’re simply caving to the demands of Muslims to get elected. This is how they gain power. Free speech be damned, all western values be damned. The government is basically asserting that THEY DECIDE on what opinions are allowed or not, regardless of the objective evidence that there’s a problem.
Simple fascism.
Maybe a couple of times a year, there'll be a column, article, or letter to the editor, denouncing Messianic Judaism as a Trojan horse, trying to smuggle Christianity into Jewish communities.

Right. A noisy, demanding block. And we are seeing the same thing in the United States. The 2024 Michigan D primary results scared Biden (Biden’s handlers, actually). Hence Biden’s shift towards the Muslims.
It will be worse in the UK because of the parliamentary system, as you noted.

My hope is that there’s more layers of separation here; districts, State legislatures/law, many Congress representatives/Senators, Supreme Ct, etc..
I’d argue our two-party system is a strength too...in the UK, it’s too easy for minority parties to get power due to the diluted nature of the shear number of parties competing.
Even in Michigan (where I am), while Dearborn is well known for its middle-eastern community, it isn’t well known that Sterling Heights (where I lived for 25 years), another suburb of Detroit, is also heavily middle-eastern - except the population is Chaldean, not Muslim...and they do not like each other :) They’re basically the Iraqi Christian’s that fled Iraq during Saddam’s reign.
I was born and raised in the UK, Leicester City to be honest, now known as “Little Kashmir” (Muslim/Hindu mob fighting), so these dynamics, in both countries, hit close to home for me.
It’s clear many are willing to sell-out their own people for power. I suppose...what’s new?
