Say what you will about us on the Right, but we are willing to call out or own when they start embarrassing themselves or misrepresenting the rest of us. We keep blowhards like Majorie Taylor-Greene at arm's length. We've long since tired of hearing Hannity turn every other conversation into a banal trumpeting of his martial arts skills. The door hit George Santos on the way out.
But aside from a few noble voices, the Left refuses to do any such thing within its own camp.
My gut feeling is that your traditional liberal (the sophomoric yard signs and the Tesla, yes, but also the secure corporate job in the quiet, bourgeois neighborhood) feels uneasy with the crazed mobs spilling into the streets every time they don't get their way. That sort of thing used to happen five neighborhoods away. Then four neighborhoods away. Then three neighborhoods away.
And that sort of unhinged rioting used to happen once in a generation. Then once every few years. Then once every few weeks.
Yet the suburban traditional liberal continues to vote Democrat because of abortion. Or some nonsense about the rich paying their "fair share." Or climate change. Or any number of manufactured grievances designed not so much to solve a tangible problem than to make a certain class of educated voters feel righteous about themselves.

What I saw from Biden at the G-7 summit was nauseating. I'm not a physician, but I saw my mother's decline due to dementia. Dr. Jill should be incarcerated for elder abuse. "Hate" is a strong word, but I truly despise Jill Biden.
Higher standards from military leaders once was the norm. No longer, the military is run by REMFs, staff pukes who should never be allowed near soldiers.
I was far from perfect, but I had no problems sticking up for my soldiers, or pointing out poor decisions.
Long ago, my battery had a tac eval. My CO, a veritable descendant of Captain Sobel, decided to put all 4 of his platoon leaders in one jeep, to save on wear and tear. I advised him that he was making a mistake, but he wouldn't relent.
Ten seconds after we got in the jeep, an evaluator calmly strolled over and dropped a smoke grenade near us. His words to the CO: your platoon leaders are all dead.
The same lack of military logic is being applied to Israel...and there's no one in the US Government willing to call Biden out on his bull$hit.
I'm sure the G-7 participants were nauseated as well by Biden's miasma.
Leaders will never be perfect people. All that is needed is that they respond with corrective behaviors when held to account by people with higher standards.

I like MTG. Yes, she’s a little rough around the edges sometimes, but she says the things milquetoast RINOs are scared to say. We need more like her.
Well, if MTG & President Trump did it, that must mean it’s OK. Is this seriously what conservatives have turned into? Truth is, MTG is preferable to any Democrat based on how she votes & that’s about it. I’m all for fighting back & no surrender! It’s needed! Sadly a lot of people equate being loud, screaming expletive & making an uncomfortable scene with having conviction. It’s not. Most conservatives prefer an argument with intellect, style, class & humor. Not everyone can speak like Jordan Peterson or William F. Buckl- even Trump. However you can count me as part of the majority of the right that thinks she & Lauren Boebert look like a couple of leathery old bar sluts, sound like half-wits who think having the loudest voice equates to knowledge & behave like they wwre raised in a trailer park. You can vote quite staunchly & be a solid right wingers that resents establishment moderation without turning yourself into a guest on The Jerry Springer Show. The only people who find it remotely attractive are the less than desirable types that are probably happy to see anyone in politics behaving like drunk morons in a low rent bar brawl. What’s funny is that anyone who bothers to call it out is termed a snob. No I don’t like the establishment or moderation or responding passively to liberal arguments; I also don’t like seeing anyone behave like they got sideswiped by a trailer park 🙄😏🫣

I didn’t say speak with moderation. I hate moderation! I an 100% right wing! You don’t have to be an annoying cat-calling asshole to genuinely fight for your team or make your argument. You act as though there are only two options: a)the soft spoken sellout- some moderate establishmentarian that straddles the fence & doesn’t make waves or say anything negative; or b)the loud loyalist brut- a disagreeable, foaming at the mouth bouncer that approaches every discussion wanting a fist fight & a petty argument. That isn’t how it breaks down.
I am right wing & traditionalist & also a bit of a mixture on personality/arguing style- I can appreciate intellectuals like Jordan Peterson, reserved & elegant types like William F. Buckley, bombastic & humorous like Trump. I want our side to make convincing conservative arguments. I do not like seeing our side behave like the left with shouting matches & stooping to their name calling & lack of class. It is not a choice between those 2 choices listed above. I dont advocate a boring non response from a centrist.
There are all sorts of choices in political stances: right, center right, center, center left, left. There are plenty of choices in values: old church, traditional, middle of the road, generally liberal, culture war progressive. There are also plenty of choices in temperment: happy warrior, highbrow reserved, studious technocrat, chicken little worrywart, politically correct establishment centrist, serious sincerity, bombastic but humorous & last & definitely least- low brow, name calling attention whore squabblers.
You should be entertaining & make a strong case & argue vociferously- but you don’t have to abandon your morals, your decency, your intelligence or your civility. Failing to show up for a fight is bad, but behaving like trash isn’t any better 🫣
