“You can vote quite staunchly & be a solid right winger that resents establishment moderation” . . . but you MUST either talk with moderation so as not to upset the loyal opposition or else keep your damn mouth SHUT!

I didn’t say speak with moderation. I hate moderation! I an 100% right wing! You don’t have to be an annoying cat-calling asshole to genuinely fight for your team or make your argument. You act as though there are only two options: a)the soft spoken sellout- some moderate establishmentarian that straddles the fence & doesn’t make waves or say anything negative; or b)the loud loyalist brut- a disagreeable, foaming at the mouth bouncer that approaches every discussion wanting a fist fight & a petty argument. That isn’t how it breaks down.
I am right wing & traditionalist & also a bit of a mixture on personality/arguing style- I can appreciate intellectuals like Jordan Peterson, reserved & elegant types like William F. Buckley, bombastic & humorous like Trump. I want our side to make convincing conservative arguments. I do not like seeing our side behave like the left with shouting matches & stooping to their name calling & lack of class. It is not a choice between those 2 choices listed above. I dont advocate a boring non response from a centrist.
There are all sorts of choices in political stances: right, center right, center, center left, left. There are plenty of choices in values: old church, traditional, middle of the road, generally liberal, culture war progressive. There are also plenty of choices in temperment: happy warrior, highbrow reserved, studious technocrat, chicken little worrywart, politically correct establishment centrist, serious sincerity, bombastic but humorous & last & definitely least- low brow, name calling attention whore squabblers.
You should be entertaining & make a strong case & argue vociferously- but you don’t have to abandon your morals, your decency, your intelligence or your civility. Failing to show up for a fight is bad, but behaving like trash isn’t any better 🫣
