Biden and Zelensky sign 10-year US-Ukraine security agreement

President Joe Biden and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a 10-year security agreement Thursday that they hailed as a milestone in relations between their countries, but that alone was not enough to stop Zelenskyy from wondering how much longer he could count on America's support.

Zelenskyy also said his country “urgently” needed additional air defense systems to protect Ukrainians and the nation's infrastructure from Russia's continued bombardment.

The leaders signed the agreement on the sidelines of the annual Group of Seven summit, held this year in Italy, and Biden said the goal "is to strengthen Ukraine's defense and deterrence capabilities.”

Zelenskyy said at a joint news conference that the signing made for a “truly historic day,” but he also wondered about the durability of support from the United States and other allies.

Ukraine's president said the right question to ask is “for how long the unity in the world will remain? The unity in the U.S., together with European leaders" and how it will be influenced by the outcome of elections this year in many of those countries.

Ah, I see... by naming it an “agreement” and not a treaty, the Cadaver doesn’t have to run it by the Senate.

Anyway, I’ll sleep better knowing that Ukraine will protect us from the hostiles.

This means nothing and Zelensky already knows it. The US should not be bound to this.

Don’t these kind of agreements/treaties need the approval of the Senate/congress? He can’t commit the U.S. unilaterally to these kind of agreements?

“...peace...”

Zelensky has no interest in making a peace deal. But maybe Putin is.

Yes and it’s nice that biden can vouch for the agreement. It has no force of law. Biden can pay for it.

Treaties must be approved by the senate. A biden zenlinski agreement is just that an agreement between biden and zenlinsky.

“The deep state doesn’t even try to enact treaties anymore.”

The deep state also doesn’t obtain a formal Declaration of War before committing American troops to combat and American taxpayer money to foreign conflicts.

It will last as long as Z is still in power, which means that there will never be an end to the deal. No elections will be allowed due to the perpetual emergency of war.

Ukraine should ask Vietnam, Afghan, Iranian and others countries about how well “US security checks” bounce!

AND it is Biden who loves the constitution and rule of law. Right? Like the Iran nuclear armament and payoff scam. Ignoring the SCOTUS rulings. And now entering treaties without the senate.

Did the Seanate authorize a Treaty? Did Congress obligate funds? Worthless paper and two worthless illegimate leaders. Both will dead before New Year’s Eve. Biden will be declared brain dead and Zenlinski will be killed as soon as he goes back to Ukraine.
