Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), the top Democrat on the House Rules Committee, slammed his GOP colleagues for their acceptance of the Hunter Biden verdict Tuesday after arguing former President Trump’s guilty verdict was the result of a rigged system.
Hunter Biden was convicted Tuesday on three counts related to failing to acknowledge drug use when purchasing a weapon.
“The contrast today is just staggering. Apparently, when a Republican is convicted, it’s weaponization. But when a Democrat is convicted — the president’s son, no less — that’s justice. I mean, give me a break. Hunter Biden was found guilty by a jury of his peers, just like Donald Trump, because this is our justice system at work,” McGovern said.
“After the verdict this morning, how can any Republican in their right mind argue that the Biden administration is weaponizing the [Justice Department] to hurt Republicans and to help Democrats? They just convicted the president’s own son,” he added, noting ongoing prosecution of Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez (N.J.) and Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar (Texas) on charges related to abusing their offices.

Hunter was convicted of a REAL crime, not some concocted one specifically for him!
What else do they got? Trump’s fake trial vs Biden’s open and shut gun charge. Why didn’t he just buy a hot gun from his dealer?

And when Joe pardons Hunter at some point what will Democrats say then?

The difference is that Hunter ACCTUALLY committed a crime.
Hunter actually committed a real crime.
They made up a crime for Trump.
And not long ago Biden was mumbling something about how juries always are right and stuff.
Maybe one was rigged and the other was not.
Successful, white billionaires who aren't dyed in the wool leftists. Really a stretch to find a true jury of his peers.
Two entirely different cases - one is legit(Hunter’s) one is bogus(Pres. Trump) RATs trying to make the same.
Hunter Biden originally, previously accepted a plea deal and pled guilty. (Gun charges were going to melt away)
Hunter Biden’s deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax evasion charges and defer punishment for lying on a gun license application...
Pres. Trump ? no plea deals anywhere.
Ok, drop all the charges against Trump and Biden.

What a laugher. I was actually surprised about todays verdict. Those were Wilmington people, their people. And they could not get around the facts.
