Top Dem strategist James Carville says Biden should not have run for re-election

Veteran top Democratic consultant James Carville says he wishes President Biden wasn’t running for re-election and worries that disenchanted young party voters will sit out the November election because of it.

“It isn’t the choice I was crazy about,” admitted Carville, who played a major role in getting former President Clinton first elected in 1992, on 77 WABC radio’s “The Cats Roundtable” on Sunday.

“I thought that President Biden should not run for re-election,” the political guru said. “But he did — it’s him and Trump — and that’s where I am.”

Carville argued that the Democrats have a deep bench of younger elected officials who would be a better fit for the times than the 81-year-old Biden, including Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and House Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of Brooklyn.

“The under-appreciated thing about the current state of the Democratic Party is there is enormous [talent] – I mean, there’s no Bill Clinton… but … there are any number of current people,” Carville told WABC host John Catsimatidis.

Instead of a real President, a person in charge, it was somehow decided to put a blank in place, with no will of his own.

Some backroom deals were done to create a committee to run Biden as a figurehead. That committee is the actual effective US executive branch.

.... I figure that the Democrats absolutely want Joe to be their candidate. Democrats know that their candidate is going to win because of their Creative Vote Counting Process ..... So they will ensure that he is the candidate and win the election ....... Why???

James was always a bit of a nut but he’s really losing his mind over Biden. I don’t really like the guy but at least I think he believes what he says (which is more than I can say for most talking heads)
