“But Biden persists in telling personal tales with rhetorical flourishes and factual liberty when he works a room or regales an audience.”
AKA: pandering, see also ‘lowest common denominator’.
“Despite Biden’s penchant for exaggerating details when recounting episodes from his life, these autobiographical embellishments differ in scale and significance from the stream of lies about a stolen election peddled by his opponent, former President Donald Trump.”
I stopped reading there.
The New York Times ought to cease the sugar-coating.
As Gertrude Steyn would have said “a lie is a lie is a lie”, not a forgivable exaggeration
This is some sad stuff. Even a brain-dead leftist reading this absurd lick-bath propaganda has to cringe. To all you leftist lurkers out there - you have been played.
So all Biden’s lies are a “middle class Joe” thing? Like the middle class are liers? More NYT elitism showing.
Its amazing that these people don't seem to be aware that they have almost no credibility with a large portion of the country.
When they spew dog poop like this, the tendency of most sensible people is to believe and think the exact opposite of what they are proclaiming. Its like being touched by a very dirty, smelly person and you automatically flinch and move away.
Just for laughs, Trump should claim that he grew up in Scranton right next to Joe Biden and had heard rumors that he was a cannibal.
That's not how to spell inveterate liar.
Anyone remember the cartoon “Commander McBragg?” Its an old guy telling tall tales of his many exploits. I suspect Creepy Joe was a devoted viewer!
Joe lies to your face because he loves you.
So Joe is a liar but he’s our liar?
Other Biden exploits:
1) First man on the Moon.
2) Raised the pride flag on Iwo Jima in WWII.
3) Invented the cure for polio.
4) Dated Marilyn Monroe.
5) Helped MLK nail his feces to the door.
6) Has three imaginary cabinet officers: Squeaky, Mr. Bubbles and Alejandro Mayorkas.
Where are the so called 'fact checkers' like when a Republican's President?
So Biden is cute kindly uncle telling tall tales. Mean evil Orange man tells real lies.
Expect this propaganda to be on all the news outlets within the next week.
When I saw the headline, I was shocked the NYT would do a story highlighting Biden’s lies. Within a few sentences, however, it became apparent that the Times was actually defending Biden by painting his lies as an innocent attempt to connect with voters. Then, they use it to disparage Trump, but of course.
I don’t think anyone in the mainstream media believes Biden’s stories. If they did, they would have tried to interview Corn Pop by now.
