Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) said Wednesday on CNN’s “Inside Politics” that he was not a progressive while responding to criticisms that he is not liberal enough.
Fetterman said, “Now, in Pennsylvania, the border security is an important issue and we do all believe that we should have a secure border. I never thought it was unreasonable for any Democrat to wanted to make our border more security.”
Host Dana Bash said, “I want to ask you personally about your own sort of journey, as the kids say, some Progressives have criticized you for being a different senator, then you suggested you would be when you were a candidate for Senate. What do you say to that?”

He’s the Kristen Sinema of PA....
He’s still a democrat and votes with Schumer. Just because the ogre is right about a few things shouldn’t afford him respect. He’s still wrong on 90%.
He’s pro Israel and now wants a secure border. Big effin deal.
Fetterman talks about 65% liberal these days.
He votes 100% liberal. Not 95%, not 99%, 100%.
His words sound real pretty, but the next time he backs it up with a VOTE will be the first time.
Unless anyone would care to document some non-liberal vote he’s made in the Senate up to now, that I’ve missed. Just one will do. It won’t prove much of anything, except that maybe he really is only 99% liberal.

Correct. But you’ve got to take what you can get. Sure, it would be better if a real Republican were in Fetterman’s seat.
As it is now, Fetterman is going against some orthodox D policy. That might encourage other D’s who aren’t totally insane to also go against some orthodox D policy.
And so the ball gets moved a wee bit in our direction.
I wish he woulda’ punched Dana in the mouth but that’s just me. It seems like his stroke did him some good.
I’m sure he was elected fair and square in PA.
Don’t settle. This clown dresses like a looter and has the occasional lucid thought. He doesn’t vote that way.

Tried to tell all the idiots who fell for the RNC bull crap about this man that he was not what they were being told he was. Yes he’s a democrat, yea he’s liberal but he’s never been the whackadoo they told you he was…
I was attacked and called names for telling the truth about him that the useful idiots didn’t want to hear. Someone who’s watched this guy for decades, seen him in action and actually met him a few times.. that guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about… but those flappy lipped brain dead pundents like Hannity et al whose entire experience with PA is they drove the turnpike once.. they know the truth about him.
The line of BS they fed people about this man, was disgusting and despicable. I do not agree with Fetterman politically, but he was never ever what they fear mongered to the sheep about him.
Equally disgusting was the sheer lies they told trying to prop up an absolute POS candidate named OZ who they had running against him… the absolute worst candidate I have seen in my life run for statewide office in PA as a Republican… carpetbagging, absolute fraud, card carrying member of the WEF.. promoted transgenderism for kids, etc etc etc nothing about this man was remotely anything more than RINO at the absolute best case and they wasted more than 100M trying to put lipstick on that pig.. money that could have made a difference in countless house races was burned trying to sell that fraud.
Maybe next time those conned about both these men will be a little wiser and not just swallow the BS fed to them by the RNC like $2 whore in a back alley somewhere…

I know a little about that. Biden stole Pennsylvania in 2020. No doubt (see my tagline).
But I think Fetterman won legitimately in 2022. He ran a good campaign. And his opponent (Dr. Oz) was about as wrong for Pennsylvania as you can get. Neighborhoods that had Trump signs out in 2020 had Fetterman signs out in 2022. Crazy, huh?
Don’t get me wrong. Fetterman is still a dependable D vote in the Senate. That’s not good. But he’s bucking the D establishment on a few issues. Maybe that will get soft Democrats thinking a bit.
