A Jewish-American Army Major has resigned from his post in protest at US support for Israel's 'ethnic cleansing' of Palestinians that has starved and killed 'tens of thousands of civilians'.
Major Harrison Mann told CBS that Israel's response to the October 7 attack has 'turned the whole world against it' and imperiled the security of both Jews and Israel.
The Defense Intelligence Agency analyst offered his resignation in November as casualties mounted in Gaza following Israel's invasion, and spoke out on Tuesday as he formally stepped down after 13 years.
'I'm confident saying it's certainly some measure of ethnic cleansing,' said Mann whose grandparents fled the anti-Semitism of Eastern Europe.
'I don't know how you kill 35,000 civilians by accident.'
Mann who served in the DIA's Middle East bureau slammed Joe Biden's 'nearly unqualified support for the government of Israel', and said his own contribution had caused him 'incredible shame and guilt'.
'At some point — whatever the justification — you're either advancing a policy that enables the mass starvation of children, or you're not,' he wrote in his resignation letter.
'And I want to clarify that as the descendant of European Jews, I was raised in a particularly unforgiving moral environment when it came to the topic of bearing responsibility for ethnic cleansing.'

That’s disappointing. 1/3 of “Jews” are incapable of thinking rationally and looking at the facts, or employ doublethink to go along with their leftist peers. Of course, without the polling data and methodology, I have no idea how many of the purported Jews are Jewish. Intermarriage rates have been around 50% for two generations. There are many half-Jews (10-20%) raised agnostic and are not Jewish according to Jewish law. Another 10-20% of younger Jews are Jewish, but rarely go to their left-wing Reform or Reconstructionist Synagogue or haven’t since age 13.

The officials who resigned are Alexander Smith, a contractor with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and a senior adviser within that agency on gender, maternal health, child health and nutrition; and Stacy Gilbert, a State Department official within the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration.
The resignations come as Israel’s U.S.-backed genocide has killed more than 36,000 Palestinians since October, with thousands more presumed to be buried under the rubble.
Smith, who has worked in his role for four years, was told that he either had to resign or be dismissed from his position after he had prepared a presentation on maternal health and child mortality for Palestinians that was abruptly canceled last week by higher-ups at USAID.
“I cannot do my job in an environment in which specific people cannot be acknowledged as fully human, or where gender and human rights principles apply to some, but not to others, depending on their race,” Smith said in his resignation letter.
Gilbert’s decision to resign was due to her agency’s false determination that Israel wasn’t purposely manufacturing a famine by blocking food and other desperately-needed aid from entering Gaza, as well as the administration’s downplaying of the atrocities committed by Israeli forces.
Gilbert, who has 20 years of experience in global crises and conflicts, explained her decision to quit the State Department to HuffPost, saying:
Because I try very hard to understand what international humanitarian law is about, it also gives me credibility in saying what is happening in Gaza is not according to international humanitarian law.Nine officials have resigned from the Biden administration since Israel began its bloody siege of Gaza in October. More resignations are likely to come, said Josh Paul, the first official to have publicly resigned from the administration over the White House’s participation in the genocide.
“I’m aware that there are other resignations pending in the near future from officials with similar concerns in their own areas of work,” said Paul, who had served as the director of congressional and public affairs at the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs.
Paul added that at least two dozen officials have resigned in protest without making a public declaration of their resignations.
Among those who have resigned so far is Lily Greenberg Call, the former special assistant to the Interior Department’s chief of staff and the first Jewish person within the administration to quit because of Israel’s ethnic cleansing campaign. Said Call in her resignation announcement:
My whole life has been spent in Jewish community in the U.S. and Israel. People in my community lost loved ones during Hamas’s attack on October 7th; beloveds killed, displaced, and taken as hostages. I am terrified by rising antisemitism around the world. And yet I am certain that the answer to this is not to collectively punish millions of innocent Palestinians through displacement, famine, and ethnic cleansing.

The Biden administration denies this, pointing to its criticism of civilian casualties in Gaza and its efforts to boost humanitarian aid to the enclave, where health officials say more than 36,000 have been killed in Israel's assault.
Israel launched its offensive in Gaza after Hamas-led militants stormed into Israel on Oct. 7, killing around 1,200 people and taking 250 hostage, according to Israeli figures.
These are the eight officials.
Josh Paul, director of the State Department's bureau of political military affairs, left in October in the first publicly known resignation, citing what he described as Washington's "blind support" for Israel.
Harrison Mann, a U.S. Army major and Defense Intelligence Agency official, resigned in November over Gaza policy and went public with his reasons in May.
Tariq Habash, a Palestinian American, quit as special assistant in the Education Department's office of planning in January. He said the Biden administration was turning a "blind eye" to atrocities in Gaza.
Annelle Sheline resigned from the State Department's human rights bureau in late March, writing in a CNN article that she was unable to serve a government that "enables such atrocities."
Hala Rharrit, an Arabic language spokesperson for the State Department, quit in April "in opposition to the United States' Gaza policy," she wrote on her LinkedIn page.
Lily Greenberg Call was the first Jewish political appointee to resign, having served as a special assistant to the chief of staff in the Interior Department. She wrote in the Guardian, opens new tab in May that she resigned because "as a Jew I cannot endorse the Gaza catastrophe."
Alexander Smith, a contractor for USAID, quit in late May, opens new tab, alleging censorship after the U.S. foreign aid agency canceled publication of his presentation on maternal and child mortality among Palestinians. The agency said it had not gone through proper review and approval.
Stacy Gilbert, who served in the State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, quit in late May. She said she resigned over an administration report to Congress that she said falsely stated Israel was not blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The classic and formal definition of a Jew by something called “Halacha” (main tradition) is any person born to a Jewish mother. That’s it. Technically you can “feel” whatever you want but Jewish lineage is not passed down from a Jewish father like in Islam. It could very well be that there were Jews in your family tree for generations but if you’re born to a non-Jewish woman you’re not Jewish, not even “half” Jewish, no matter what the Reform movement says. Again, this is the classic definition.

We not only can, we should. We did a pretty good job of imposing our will on the Nazi and imperial Japanese regimes back in the day. And we did it when half the world opposed us.
Standing aside when over half the world would either watch from the sidelines or actively aid the eradication of Israel and the murder of every Jew there would be morally reprehensible. Anyone suggesting otherwise is an uncivilized barbarian.

Some conservatives are still living in 1945. Every time the U.S. is humiliated, they watch a World War 2 film or dream about D-Day.
