SCOTUS wont take up a case before it has gone thru the federal appeals process...
This case will go thru, the NY State appeal process.
A long shot would be to get SCOTUS involved based on the Federal aspect of the case - whether federal election law violations could be the basis for prosecution in state courts.
I’m guessing they would have to start at the Fed. District level...independent of any NY State appeals ?
Once the NY Supreme court rules, how would Pres. Trump be able to present his case to SCOTUS?
How much time will pass before anything like this would happen ?

Well, if Trump isn’t in New York, he’s out of the crooked judge’s jurisdiction. What’s he gonna do, send the NY highway patrol after him?

This is a presidential election interference situation. Trumps lawyers can and will bypass the appellate court and ask for an emergency hearing at SCOTUS. If Trump is sitting in jail or house arrest there is no way they won’t step in.
The enemy is already openly discussing creating a commission to have authority over mandatory recusals, packing the court by expanding it to 13 or 15, and also term limits.
An emergency appeal because the politically motivated trial judge violated Trump’s Constitutional rights of free speech and due process by transforming a misdemeanor into a felony.
