Energy shutdowns hit Ukraine after Russian attacks target infrastructure
Associated Presstitu ^ | June 2, 2024 | SAMYA KULLAB and ELISE MORTON,

Ukraine imposed emergency power shutdowns in most of the country on Sunday, a day after Russia unleashed large-scale attacks on energy infrastructure and claimed it made gains in the eastern Donetsk province.

The shutdowns were in place in all but three regions of Ukraine following Saturday's drone and missile attack on energy targets that injured at least 19 people.

Sustained Russian attacks on Ukraine’s power grid in recent weeks have forced the government to institute nationwide rolling blackouts. Without adequate air defenses to counter assaults and allow for repairs, though, the shortages could still worsen as need spikes in late summer and the bitter-cold winter.

Among the most significant recent strikes were an April barrage that damaged Kyiv’s largest thermal power plant and a massive attack on May 8 that targeted power generation and transmission facilities in several regions.

The Associated Presstitutes dejectedly says Russia has a coordinated new offensive has centered on Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, but seems to include testing Ukrainian defenses in Donetsk farther south, while also launching incursions in the northern Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

I think Russia is trying to do just enough to win this thing so when it’s over they won’t have to do a huge amount to get things up and running in the regions they end up keeping.

Maybe, Russia has targeted infrastructure mostly in response to Ukraine targeting infrastructure initially.

Smarter than the USA in Iraq, where they knew they were going to win and occupy the place, but they destroyed the grid anyway because “destroy the electricity grid” was part of their “by the book” invasion plan.

Two nights ago, for the first time ever in this war, the hydroelectric plants in Ukraine were targeted - and for destruction. Russia had a red line they self imposed early on in the war, which was to not destroy the “entrie” electric/power grid, and the road/rail bridge network across Ukraine.

The timing of this article is due to Russia now deciding it is time to turn out the lights.

Remember that scene in Saving Private Ryan, where the German pushes the bayonet into the GI’s heart and he says, go to sleep....

That was the old plan, before NATO decided to use its officers to target Old Russia. Pretty soon they will be turning up daisy’s in the New Russia.

Are the Zeepers here really stupid enough to think that Russia couldn’t disable Ukraine’s entire electric gird if it wanted and felt like it had to in order to win the war?

The purpose of this article by the Associated Presstitutes is to direct a Narrative by factually admitting that Russia has significantly damaged Ukraine's electrical power grid.

The admission is designed to gain the reader's trust so they will believe the several over optimistic paragraphs of "Ukraine winning by cleverly striking back" farther down in the article.

It is significant that AP deems it necessary to admit Russian successes to get readers to read through their article and Narrative.

However, more Ukrainians will have to die before the Western Mainstream Media/Zeeper Arrogance Narrative, finally dies it's well deserved death.

Nice to see Ukraine reducing its energy use and achieving Paris-accord green-house gas emissions reductions, ahead of schedule.

WEF Forward!
