Shocking footage has emerged showing a gigantic 'shantytown' that has sprung up in Oakland, as the California city's slide into crime-ravaged squalor continues.
Michael Oxford, the host of CaliBased, posted a video on May 31 of massive temporary houses built along service roads that open up into main roads in Hooverville, Oakland.
The footage showed trash strewn around scores of houses that were built of wood, tarp and other discarded materials.

Biden’s America. And please, these should not be called Hoovervilles, they are Biden Camps or something. This is intentional on the part of the government, not the Depression of the 30s.
This looks as bad as the shantytowns I see (on video) in Africa.

Its amazing when you go back and see video of San Francisco and Oakland in the 50s compared to now. It was so much nicer 70 years ago. No litter. No Graffiti. No drug addled bums and thus no drug addled bums crapping on the sidewalk and leaving used needles everywhere. People were dressed nicely.
This is the Left’s vision of hell. Its my vision of heaven.
I’m of two minds on this.
#1 Democrats telling people how to live in ways they don’t want to, in order to get help, eg they have no personal freedoms.
#2 These people need help.
My solution is this, offer those who want it, housing.
with rules that ignore smoking, drinking and drug rules.
If you threaten or hurt someone, you go to jail.
The rest, move all support systems into a desert and let them follow. Kind of a “Mad Max” junkie style. Except
they have food,water, and MASH style medical care.
With no drug law enforcement, don’t bother, it didn’t work in prohibition. just let them be, but very isolated.

There is some version of this in all of the city states. The cities no longer exist as they once did.
The city states are the very bed rock foundation of the political power wielded by the progressive trash destroying America. Additional to the tent cities are videos depicting block after block after mile after mile of main city streets that are effectively closed. Business is shut down, gone. Hollywood, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Yotk....... poof, gone
When the citizens riot this summer and go to loot they will be out of luck. The stores they want to loot are empty, just gone.
The polls are one thing but they never register the fact that in many of the staunchly Democrat dities, the city is just dead. There will be a dearth of live voters.
Did any of them get permits from Oakland to build those?
