USA divorce rate in 2021 was 48%? Why does anyone bother to get married anymore?
I can’t cypher out some of these.
“ In 2018, the Census Board reported that:
20% of 18 – 34-year-olds who made $40,000+ per year were unmarried.
40% of 18 – 34-year-olds who made $40,000+ per year were married.”
Forty percent are missing, or maybe that 40% were both married and unmarried that year. Or maybe “unmarried” is different from divorced and/or never married. Or maybe divorcing bigamists. Or something…..
The divorce rate is skewed by people who get divorced multiple times.
That’s an average. It includes those who marry and divorce 3+ times.
I think the rate of first married and never divorce is closer to 80%.
40% likely didn’t make over $40k/year.

MA and IL have the lowest divorce rates. Red states have the highest divorce rates.

Notwithstanding the exceptions, weak men facilitate the majority of them especially when children are involved.
I have no empathy for a couple that self-destructs when children are involved — none.
I wonder why they didn’t add the woman’s unfaithfulness?
The only contract that one can break and still win cash and prizes.

Image over substance. Weddings make the couple look good until the honeymoon is over.
At the same time, Asian women get married at a higher rate and are less likely to get divorced.
These are the following percentages of divorced women across the United States:
African-Americans: 33%
Hispanic women: 22%
White women: 19%
Asian women: 11%
