Russia is expected to significantly increase the size of its military presence in Ukraine, with an additional 200-300 thousand troops set to join their ranks, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in an interview with Reuters.

The minister added that the current number of Russian forces stationed in Ukraine and along its borders stands at 500 thousand troops.

Umerov emphasized the urgency of mobilizing fresh recruits to facilitate the rotation of military personnel in response to the anticipated surge in Russian troop numbers.

"At this stage, we are focused on training our personnel ... pilots, we are focused on infrastructure, we are focused on bringing operational and maintenance teams and we are working on modernisation or bringing on more platforms."

At what point do the Russians say that this war just costs too much? Is continuing this war really in Russia’s interest?

At what point does the west say that this war just costs too much? Is continuing this war really in NATO’s interest?

While Ukraine has run out of reserves and is sending unwilling, untrained conscripts to the frontlines, Russia, just I have been saying, has hundreds of thousands of troops waiting in reserve.

Ukraine can only lose more lives and territory by continuing this war. The ONLY to avoid that is with unconditional surrender.

At what point does Ukraine and NATO say that?

The Russian absolutely behind this war. They, correctly, believe this is a battle for their nation's survival against NATO and the West. And, they are correct.

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, stupidly, let the cat out of the bag when she said this recently:

"Russia's defeat is not a bad thing because then you know there could really be a change in society. The Russian Federation is comprised of 'many different nations' and they should become separate states after the end of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.

"I think if you would have more like small nations... it is not a bad thing if the big power is actually [made] much smaller."

This has been NATO's game plan for some time as a RAND corporation paper outlined the same objective in 2019.

This war isn’t 10,000 miles away, and Russia can pack up and go home like the USA did in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Kharkov is half day drive from Moscow. This war is right there on Russia’s border.

Outside of St. Petersburg and Moscow, life sucks in Russia.

NATO is the one which needs to be shattered into a thousand pieces, not Russia.

32 Nations where

UK splits into 4
Canada splits into 3 or 4
Italy splits in two
Belgium splits in two
Spain splits into 3 or 4
France splits into 4 or 5...

etc. etc.

Stopping Russian aggression? Yes. Putin is trying to rebuild the old empire and dominate Europe. Stop pretending that Russia is the victim here.

Nonsense! Russia was under no threat of invasion before they attacked Ukraine and would survive if they withdrew from Ukraine. Only the paranoid would ever think that NATO would ever invade Russia.

The cost to Russia is not sustainable in the long term. Russian troop numbers are inflated and the new troops will be poorly trained and minimally equipped.

What do you think the United States would do if Mexico formed a military alliance with China and/or Russia that involved the establishment of new military bases there?

Stop pretending the U.S. is a beneficent force in the world here, dude.

It’s probably not zero sum. They also have a half of a country. Surely the East of Ukraine has viable land and manufacturing capacity. That doesn’t count for nothing. If the United States was at war with Mexico it would cost a lot but they’d also have a lot more oil reserves and would control new industry additional Human Resources etc.

Zelensky had agreed to neutrality and no NATO membership before Putin invaded, so you can put that argument to rest.

Gee, I can’t possibly understand why Russia would defend itself...

Russia wasn't threated at all by an illegal coup that installed puppet government that tried to cutoff its access to a naval base it had maintained in Crimea since 1783?

It wasn't threatened by a NATO build up of 600,000 man army that was funded and armed by the US and other NATO countries? This after we promised the Russians no eastward expansion of NATO in the early '90s.

Nor was it threatened by the fact the were operating 30 or so biolabs in Ukraine with deadly pathogens in them?

If Russia or China had done anything similar in Mexico, WE WOULD HAVE INVADED, JUSTIFIABLY SO.

All you have are lies.
