One show trial down, three more to go. You have every reason to spend the next five months anticipating anything and everything to keep voters from installing Donald Trump back in the White House through a process formerly known in America as a “free and fair election.”
Up to and including assassinating the candidate whom every indicator has winning in November.
For the first time in our country’s history a former president, who is running for reelection, was just convicted of a crime in what prosecutor Alvin Bragg’s hometown newspaper admitted is a “novel and untested” application of an obscure state law. The operation, like the other criminal charges, was orchestrated by Democrats and the news media, none of whom have been shy about their intentions. They invented crimes. They raided his home. They placed him under arrest. They booked him for a mugshot. Finally, they found the judges and jurors who were certain to deliver the predetermined outcomes.
It’s happening against the most surreal backdrop. While President Biden and his party have devoted every waking hour to calling Trump a “threat to democracy,” they’ve attempted to remove his name from the ballot, censored public information, and shoveled billions of taxpayer dollars into a corrupt Eastern European country that has canceled its elections.
They’ve taken us this far. What won’t they do? What can’t they justify? All signs point to nothing. Their capacity to escalate political tensions is literally boundless.

Trump is in good company, as the Old Testament super hero, Joseph was thrown into a pit by his own brothers, taken to prison in a foreign country, had dreams about other prisoners, got placed in a position of power in a big Egyptian household, gets accused of rape by the wife of the Egyptian leader, goes back to jail, then gets put in a position of authority and winds up saving the country and his people.
Then Trump supporters will make peaceful protests after they murder Trump in prison.

Spending a decade or more in prison for some that could mean life in prison versus a few months if you plead guilty especially when the trials are Washington with a jury pool that is 98% liberal democrats is not a hard decision
You may be right. We won’t know until we are put to the test. Which I hope doesn’t come but nowadays nothing should surprise us.
In Washington D.C., if you are a 1/6 person, you have zero chance of beating the case at trial, the Feds know this and offer a short sentence or a massive sentence if you lose at trial.
You’re right, nothing should surprise us about what the Democrats will do, we had better get used to the idea that Trump will be sent prison or possibly house arrest.
I seriously doubt the Judge or the NY Court System, will let Trump stay the sentence pending appeal.
The #1 goal of the Democrats is to keep Trump off the campaign trail, they want him in prison, if after the election his case gets overturned, they don’t care so long as they can kneecap his campaign.
