Impossible. In New York, the defendant must agree to the swap. Cannot see Trump agreeing to that.
His parents and surrounding Columbian ccultur would have had a profound influence on his thinking growing up, more so than anything else else. Don’t dismiss the mindset of his family.

...Or if the judge orders Donald Trump immediately remanded to custody pending appeals, his security detail is dismissed, and Trump is assassinated while in prison. Democrats are openly voicing hope for such things.
We can all ignore "the law" after such an outcome. It will come down to who is better at organized violence to suppress their enemies. I would not bet on the government in that scenario. I would bet on the Mexican Cartels or the Russian Mafia.
The judge would just declare that the ‘rule’ is null and void or unconstitutional or some such technicality................

At that point, it would be time for SCOTUS to step in. That would be entirely unacceptable and 100% illegal. Merchan would need to be arrested for criminal action under the color of law.
Because this judge and prosecution is making rules up as they go, this whole abomination is in uncharted legal territory with no oversight.
