A video of an incident that happened on Monday at a Lakeland apartment complex is going viral...
...officers responded to Caroline Apartments on Griffin Road on Sunday at 5:52 p.m.
...Jahmal Hudson, was not willing to provide me with a valid apartment number within the complex.
...The officer said he gave Hudson several orders to exit the property, or he would be arrested.

Resisting arrest should carry an automatic 10-year sentence. This would discourage stupid people from acting like jerks.
Just go with the officer and sort out the details of your unfair arrest at a later date. Don’t cause trouble. If you cause trouble, your options quickly become: a) “get shot” or b) 10-years in jail. These are your only options and they are not good options, so don’t be a jerk.

How was anyone to know that the gigantic physically-mature male was a minor?
The problem with that is there is a very broad range of actions that will get someone charged with resisting. It would be fine if resisting meant actual violent resistance, but it is often the go-to add-on charge, and too often it really means failure to follow confusing instructions from a hyped-up, angry cop.
All I know is that American kid who was caned in Singapore for vandalism probably hasn’t committed the same crime since.
