Mike Davis, legal adviser to Donald Trump, will send a letter Tuesday to every House Republican calling on them to do everything they can to fight back against President Joe Biden’s “lawfare” against the former president, according to a letter and memo first obtained by the Daily Caller.
In the letter, Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project, mentions six bullet points he believes House Republicans need to utilize in order to properly defend Trump against the ongoing “lawfare” brought forward by Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ), and Democrat state and local prosecutors. He argues these steps are “vital to combat Republic-ending Biden Democrat lawfare and election interference.”
Davis specifically mentions House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, saying he must “issue subpoenas for documents and require sworn testimony of those involved from the Biden White House, Biden Justice Department, Biden Democrat state and local prosecutors’ offices, and all others–both inside and outside of government–involved in this criminal conspiracy against President Trump.”

Davis also mentions passing Republican Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde’s amendment that would prohibit federal funds from going to Bragg, Smith or Willis for prosecuting Trump. Davis mentions attaching this amendment to any “must-pass” spending bills, such as a continuing resolution.

I say Jim Jordan is all talk. Here is a chance for him to prove I’m wrong.
“I hope he plays an important role in Trump’s administration”

The FBI will just send over some lawyers asking for an interview, and then have him indicted for whatever he says.
He’s a stiff. The best thing he does is memorize a laundry-list of talking points, sit down with Hannity and recited them flawlessly while looking into the camera. Absolutely nothing is accomplished except issuing strongly worded letters to Biden appointees.
democrats don’t have to answer no stinkin subpoenas
Problem the low life’s in Congress don’t listen to him
If you have to rely on the Republican House (for anything), you’re $#@!’ing doomed.
“The FBI will just send over some lawyers asking for an interview, and then have him indicted for whatever he says.”
If Trump is elected, one thing that has to be top priority is immediately cleaning out the FBI and DOJ headquarters. Change the locks, cancel all security clearances, and seize all their communications and devices. Then, hire expert IT personnel to recover everything that has been deleted.
Certainly, not under the current system in which only the corrupt Democrat DOJ is in charge of enforcing the' rules.'
One constitutional way that could change would be to bring back use of Congress's intrinsic power of contempt, under which the DOJ is bypassed and Congress directly puts the guilty in its own jail. That power certainly exists but it has been so little used for so long that it's hard for this non-lawyer to collect its fine print. Power comes from English common law powers of Parliament, and was likely used to significant effect under Cromwell, of whom I'm certain, like him or not, all agreed he had a spine. I'm not sure whether both houses acting together are needed, in which case we're screwed; or whether one alone suffices, in which case its technically possible if Speaker Johnson's narrow majority could grow a 218 spines. I suspect the mechanics of where and how to lock them up and pay for it are trivial once the willpower to use the power exists.
Another way that might work would be for GOP state AGs or lower level GOP district attorney's with adequate jurisdiction and spines start charging whomever and wherever they can. John Eastman suggests that way.
Best way to stop election interference is vote Trump and it won’t be just for him but a lesson for the democrat party use of communism for their gain.
Really.... is this the Bee or something? So these dumbazzes need to be told to defend arguably the best President ever. Gimme a freakin break. If they’re not yet aware of the lawfare that’s been ongoing for years by now, then they are hopelessly lost in dumbazz land forever. Git rid of em.
its a little late in the game doncha think?
Sounds like with the call for Republicans to do Lawfare, the lawyers will come out like bandits on both sides.
Trump releasing a list of people who will be arrested and jailed in his next term would suffice.
In all fairness, I hope that all of the Republican lawyers are opening up every door that Judge Merchan has to find all of the little skeletons. And then make sure that there will be convictions of those indescretions.
