I do think the ducks are enjoying the cut grass and aeration, but haven’t seen a female for a couple weeks.
But this afternoon a momma duck brought 6 tiny ducklings. They are not as big as the little yellow rubber duckies. And she came right up...she’s been here before.

Peaches is my cuddler. I find it hard to sleep if he’s not there. And in the summer, he isn’t always. It gets way too hot to snuggle.
In fact, I need to go get him in from his outside wanderings and head that way. Of course, it’s late. LOL! See ya tomorrow....oooo, you have that party tomorrow night, huh. Well, see ya Sunday night then!

It must be a lot easier for them to find the corn now. Happy ducks.
How cool a momma brought her babies along! It sounds like she didn’t wait long at all after they hatched. She knows where they’ll be safe and have some help with a food supply to get them off on the right foot.
They must be adorable, being so tiny.

They weren’t being quiet. I’d just tossed out a bunch of catnip mousies and they were rolling around and “killing” them. LOL

I wish I only had one cuddler. There are several who sleep along both sides while I sleep. Like with you and Peaches, it’s fine during winter but it gets a bit warm this time of year.
Some switch out with others periodically and some are there every night. Shags is one of them. No one took over his spot while he was gone and it felt strange. I have a feeling he’ll be glued to me when I go to bed shortly since he’s been by the desk chair all night.
Yep, I won’t get home until very late so I won’t be here tomorrow night. Sleep well. Catch ya Sunday.

Pray for my cousin. he was admitted to the hospital last night after being found unresponsive. He’s in ICU with what turned out to be a pulmonary embolism.

Oh yes...it’s gorgeous weather, and Blue and I have a date.
My nephew’s band is playing a Memorial Day Benefit for Vets today at 5:30. It’s about twenty miles from here so it will be a nice ride.

The Great War 1914-1918 We Shall Keep the Faith by Moina Michael, November 1918 Oh! you who sleep in Flanders Fields, Sleep sweet - to rise anew! We caught the torch you threw And holding high, we keep the Faith With All who died. We cherish, too, the poppy red That grows on fields where valor led; It seems to signal to the skies That blood of heroes never dies, But lends a lustre to the red Of the flower that blooms above the dead In Flanders Fields. And now the Torch and Poppy Red We wear in honor of our dead. Fear not that ye have died for naught; We'll teach the lesson that ye wrought In Flanders Fields.
