You are correct Alberta's Child.

Trump is not a trained medical person. He cannot practice medicine. Thus, he is beholden to listen to the advice of the "experts" that the government has employed to assist the President. If not then he can be impeached for overstepping his authority as President. But these "experts" had two motivations to lead the President in the wrong direction. The first was political, and the second was to reap in big profits. Do you understand now, Randfan, exactly how much the government, both political parties, hate the citizens of this nation?

However, at some point in time he had to make the decision to stop the remedy being pushed as it was causing more harm than good. He even went beyond what he wanted to, in order to exercise the utmost caution for their recommendations to be in force. Remember they are medical "experts", but finally Trump had to say that he must take other concerns into consideration with regards to what is happening to the nation by following these restrictions.

Trump mad no mandate for States to close their states, 7 states did not lockdown or impose any of the other restrictions. Trump respected state's rights. So the blame for lockdowns then rightfully fell on the state Governors and their actions should be the real target of people such as you Randfan, whom I agree with on a lot of issues, but on this issue he is way off target with his accusations on this topic. His operation warp speed was enacted to get vaccines out to the public to combat the effort to keep lockdowns in place until a vaccine was made available. He had tried to get Hydroxychloroquine made available, very early on, to every American who wanted that. In fact, Trump ordered it to be so. However, it was another "expert" Dr. Scott Gottlieb at FDA made it available only to those who had been admitted into the hospital, and the hospital was told to use remdesivir as well. Dr. Scott Gottlieb then left and went to Pfizer. Had Hydroxychloroquine been made available, the vaccine would have become ineligible to be approved for EUA because there would now be a product that worked to combat the Covid virus.

So, Randfan, if you are going to speak on a topic at least be sure that you know the entire story instead of spreading your beliefs that are woefully incomplete rendering them totally false..

Otherwise, refrain from speaking about a topic you obviously have very limited knowledge about. Because the nation, no the world, needs Trump to return to office.

Thanks for listening.

Trump was in a “no-win” situation with COVID. No matter what he did, 50% of the country was going to be pissed off at him.

I didn’t forget anything. You just misunderstood that’s all. You think I was talking about running around trying to kill them myself? That’s crazy man.

Trump was also the first to start all of the eviction moratorium lawlessness. That trickled down to the states. It destroyed a lot to good landlords.

But I have to accept the good with bad in this case. And I will of course be voting for him.

Doing "something" is not the way to look at it. He fucked up and refuses to admit it. I felt right from the beginning this whole thing was way way overblown. I still support Trump, but he really messed up on the COVID BS.

I knew the whole thing was nothing more than massive public hysteria. So did he. He even said at the start that it was likely to be comparable to a bad flu season.

But once the media-driven idiocy started, he totally lost control of the narrative -- through no fault of his own. As I said before, there was no stronger evidence of that than the constant scolding I got from pathetic, cowardly losers right here on Free Republic for refusing to shut down my business and hide under my bed.

Precisely why COVID was released. Trump was riding sky-high, cruising to re-election, then COVID came like Manna from Heaven for the Democrats.

Personally, I think the whole thing went off the rails in 2020 when the NCAA and all the professional sports leagues shut down indefinitely in March. That probably did more to facilitate a public panic than anything else -- since this was a step none of these sports leagues took even during World War II.

We could almost track this nonsense by the hour here on FR back then.

I just remember the sinking feeling I had when the first stories came out, and my first thought was, “So, this is how they’re going to get Trump.”

I think the Democrats were less prepared for it than anyone. That’s why you saw the dumbest applications of mass stupidity in their own states and other jurisdictions. New York State — and New York City in particular — may have been the biggest clown show in the nation by April 1st of that year.

But the media had it covered. No matter what Trump did they attacked.

Don’t allow Chinese into the country? He’s racist.

Let Chinese in? He’s getting people killed.

Exactly. Trump green lighted things, and the corporations failed him and us.

That’s exactly right. That’s why he had no control over the narrative. When even a sizable portion of the regulars here on this website became full-blown Branch Covidians, I knew this country was doomed.

They were practically demanding that Andrew Cuomo take over as President from Trump.

Meanwhile, a friend of mine insisted on tuning into that dope's daily press briefings ...

"Because it's hilarious to listen to this guy who sounds like Tony Soprano reading children's stories to the media."

LOL.

I’m originally from MA. Haven’t been there since 1986 but a couple of years ago, I couldn’t renew my license here in MO. Unpaid $25 ticket from 1984 when I was 16. Paid it and still couldn’t renew because it put me over some points system that they came up with long after I left. I had to take a $200 class remotely. Had to go out and buy a webcam to do it. I guess to support the socialism, they’re digging up old paper citations and putting them into the database. So much for statute of limitations. Commiewealth of Massachusetts.

Deep State is running Junior as a place to stash switched Trump votes.

People will vote for him whether they want to or not.

Trump’s handling of the pandemic was atrocious.

There is really no other way to describe it. He thought he was Churchill…and it cost him the election.

He shut down the country.
He foisted that vaccine on people without proper testing.
He spent like a drunken sailor.
He went on TV every night like a wannabe FDR and ended up looking like a fool.
He handed over the reigns of power to Fauci and the Scarf Monster.

You can like Trump over Biden and thats OK. But don’t think he did a good job during the pandemic.

I do not fault my President Trump for what he did about Covid. His only problem was believing that government scientists who had been in place for decades actually knew what they were talking about, and were not corrupt.

I did not say he did a good job. I basically said he got played by “experts”. If they’d been telling the truth, what he did would have been great. But they sold him a bill of goods, lied like there’s no tomorrow, and now want to hang it around his neck as if HE made up all the lies. You can vote for Biden if you like, but don’t try to pin the catastrophe, that was PLANNED by globalists, on Trump.
