Donald Trump carried out crude attacks during his rally in New Jersey. Heath Mayo and Ruth Ben-Ghiat join The Weekend to weigh in on the deeper problem within the Republican party that perpetuates Donald Trump’s behavior.

> getting rid of Donald Trump is the only way the Republican party can heal <
Kinda like saying back in 1944 that the only way America can win WW2 is by getting rid of Patton.
Uh, no.
Hey ms whatever the hell name a Republican president of the recent past who wasn’t “Hitler”?
Why getting rid of Comcast would be an improvement on one’s sense of reality.
To be perfectly honest, it would be only the first step in a long, long process.
Regards,
In other news, Putin gives advise to Ukraine on how to heal their country.
Heal? Really, heal? I don’t want to ‘heal’ it. I want to smack it upside the head with a 2 by 4 and knock it back to reality - with TRUMP.
Stinking bunch of professional liars completely satisfied with perennial 2nd tier power - just so long as those paychecks and DC perks and power keep rolling in.
should be the man who is about to beat him in the election.
Morning Joe needs to go find a good therapist. They have tried EVERYTHING. This is fun, to watch people squirm. Like a turkey on a hot griddle. MORE of the SAME. Got to hand it to those guys THE POSSE at the War Room. Thanks Steve Bannon.
There are massively different interests in play that were apparently not in play, say, twenty-five years ago. Then, labor heavily favored the Democrats. I don’t think that’s the case today. I don’t think the Republicans are a good place for labor to land, either. Then there’s the people in favor of defense. My father, a WWII vet, was a Democrat until Carter. He said, “I didn’t move away from the Democrats, they moved away from me.” Democrats have heavily courted Muslims/trans/LGBT/illegals/ne’er-do-well’s/homeless and criminals and the ultra-wealthy. What a combo! But what exactly are the Republicans trying to meld together? We saw a huge split in the recent budget vote. I think it’s time to pull together a set of teams, not just one, that comes up with a set of planks that the majority of Republicans can agree on. I don’t see that happening. Nor is it immediately obvious what those planks should be. We’d better find things we can agree on, things we can both give on, and things that would best be just left alone. The people I’ve seen in Republican party positions who might be the ones to set this up were put there by RINO’s. A lot of those seem to be gone now.
Because MSNBC is genuinely concerned about the Republican Party “healing”.
Man, these people are a parody and themselves.
When they say "Democracy," they mean Marxism.
Their language is like Orwell's Newspeak.
MSDNC wants all conservatives to get into those nice box cars over there and travel to those awesome fun camps where the first thing on the agenda is to go into the community showers to clean up.
MSNBC is a cancer on the American public
Everybody with 2 brain cells to rub together is criticizing the same judges as Trump, because what they are doing is what you’d expect in a Turd World country. These people have no excuse to not see it, since everybody else is bringing it up. These idiots can’t figure out how to buy a clue even when it comes and hits them over the head with a 2x4.
It’s pathetic.
And then they want to lecture us about Mussolini?
Ridiculous!
Nice of MSNBC to care about the health of GOP Party.
Like Dr. Kevorkian...
Alternate headline: Getting rid of Biden is the only way the Democrat Party can heal. On second thought, that’s not true, the Democrats are incapable of healing, they’re the party of killing babies.
It sure is.
Why don’t we get rid of the republican party and replace it with a people that represent Americans.
