The current generations of adults, who ignorantly blame everything bad in their lives on the "Boomers," have made hyperbole the norm. Nearly every headline I see on the Internet has been so full of extreme hyperbole that most news sites are a joke.
They have also extended this into everyday things, like "bomb cyclones" and naming snow storms, as if they are the worst things to have ever happened in the history of the Earth. Everything is now the greatest, the worst, or some crisis in general.

I switched on my Northstar LORAN in case my GPS goes out. But alas, nothing to receive. The government closed the LORAN navigation system around the year 2000. I loved it.

I have my shortwave radio fired up and have “Coast to Coast” on another radio set. Batteries disconnected on the cars and cell phone wrapped in foil. It’s go time.
