The line of storms has moved passed us so we are in the clear for now. There are more storms in the forecast (40% chance) later today.
We actually don't have a shelter. What we do here is go to the center part of the house away from windows. Gizmo uses under the bed for his cover.
Our town does have a storm shelter but unfortunately they don't allow pets. I'd rather be with him to comfort him. He gets scared of storms, especially thunder and lightning, as you might imagine.
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:

If I fit under the bed, I’d be there too. I’m not a big fan of thunder and lightning like radu is. LOL!

You guys are pals...and need to be together. He needs that comforting. Poor guy.
But it looks like he had a grand time yesterday at Wichita Ridge.
Hope the weather allows Gizmo to come out from under the bed and enjoy the day.

Glad to hear you and Gizmo can relax now.
These storms have been no fun but one plus is the rain filling up the lakes again. They’ve been low for a while.
It looks like Gizmo had a great time yesterday. I hope the weather allows y’all to get out later today so he can blow off some steam.

LOL! My face is plastered to a window when a good storm is going on outside. If the wind isn’t blowing rain up under the roof over the patio, I’m out there - usually with camera in hand. Loves me some good storms. :-)

How I know it. And you haven’t had a good one in a long time. Maybe the next one will have just the right lightning show. LOL!
Me and Gizmo....we’ll hide from the storms. But dang it, I do love rain. The sound, the smell, the feel. The cats...well, they don’t so much.
Now...I’ve gotta go. See y’all tomorrow!

It rained hard the other day. Other than that nothing weather related
Started a new job yesterday. I'll be assembling the electrical systems on drones that will be used as training targets.

Yeah, a good light show would be nice. It’s been a while since I was able to get any decent lightning shots.
Sleep well. I’m heading off to do the same. Catch ya Saturday.

How 'bout those troops!
They work [and play] so hard for US.
Always keep them in your thoughts.
Hope all y'all have a Thank-The-Troops Thursday!
Very warm today...but not too bad at 87°☀️.

Website of Bugles Across America!
Providing Live Taps to Honor the Veteran ~
Never a charge or fee for this service
https://www.buglesacrossamerica.org/
Bugles Across America, NFP was founded in 2000 by Tom Day, when Congress passed legislation stating that Veterans have a right to at least two uniformed military people to fold the flag and play Taps on a CD player. Bugles Across America was founded to take this a step further. In recognition of the service these Veterans have provided to their country, we felt that they each deserve a live rendition of Taps by a real bugler. To this end, we are actively seeking capable volunteers to provide this valuable service to Veterans & their families.
Bugles Across America now has over 3000 bugler volunteers located in all 50 states & growing number overseas. Since the Dept of Veterans Affairs is expecting more than 1/2 million veterans to pass every year for the next 7 years, Bugles Across America is ALWAYS recruiting new volunteers.
