Not easy keeping an eye on everything. LOL The TV is on the wall over the desk and the tornados are on the computer. The tornados are very distracting. LOL
Your co-worker should be fine. Nothing but a little rain up there.

I’d say everyone here does. :-)
Did the temp back off a little today? It was hot and steamy here.

Not much. It got up to 90. It wasn’t awful, but fairly humid and kind of breezy. It’s 72 now...or so it says. Still too much wind to entice me outside. LOL!
Hot and steamy is something I’m pretty sure you’ve been dreading. A lot more to come, though. Dang it. For all of us.

Yeah, can’t say I’m ready for hot and steamy just yet. Not quite as hot as it was there but we weren’t far behind. One more day of that, then it’ll back off a little for the next week.
Your wind is because you’re on the backside of the front that kicked off more storms over there tonight. Not as many tornados as yesterday but there were a few. Still some severe storms rumbling. That’ll start coming through here tomorrow night but like the last front, it’ll weaken.

As long as it weakens before it gets there, so you don’t have any of the nasty stuff AND it’s pretty for the museum weekend.
Is it just me or do weekends seem to come along faster than they used to?
I’d just love to skip hot. This small taste of it makes me dread it even more. I just don’t sleep uncuddled from the covers. LOL!

It’s going to be a wet weekend, just not stormy.
A shame because this weekend is the big annual Tennessee Maneuvers event at Carthage. It won’t be a washout but it’s still not fun when rain showers roll through.
The older we get, the faster the days go by. LOL

A very pleasant goot Thirsday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad, thanks for your service to our country.
Our internet is down right now. We have a line of storms coming in from the West with 70 MPH winds. Me and Gizmo have sheltered in place.

Prayers for you and Gizmo to come through these storms with flying colors....and NOT flying through a tornado or something! I also hope your internet is back up soon. If you’re like the rest of us here, THAT really is a big deal!

Oh, I hope that the storms aren’t so bad that they have to cancel the Maneuvers. They work so hard to prepare for these special events I’m sure!
I’d simply LOVE a wet weekend. LOL!

I’ve been keeping an eye on your area and see there are storms heading for you. Hoping things don’t get real bad for you and Gizmo. Stay safe!

I don’t know if we’ll even get storms. Heavy rain showers along with lighter ones are pretty much it.
I doubt they’ll cancel the event but turnout will probably be a little lower. Saturday’s rain chances are lower so it shouldn’t be too bad. Friday could be a bit soggy.
I wish I could send this wet weekend back down to you. LOL

According to the radar, the line of storms appears to have moved to the East of us. We’re going to wait until the warning expires before we clear out of the shelter.

Hang in there. It’s looking like it’s pretty rough there but the worst of this one is almost past. You might get another storm soon but that one isn’t marked as severe. It’ll probably still send poor Gizmo under the bed. :-(

What kind of shelter do you and Gizmo have? My son had a heavy steel one bolted to the garage floor when he lived in Moore. He lived there when that horrible tornado roared through there in 2013. I was listening to the newscasts from here and worried sick. They were fine. It passed less than 2 miles south of them.
I’m glad the storms tonight missed you. It has been a very wild week in OK, NE and IA.
