Firearms felon Terry Clark Hughes has been revealed as the suspect who opened fire at cops at a North Carolina home as they came to arrest him, after he set off a gun fight that left four officers dead and four more wounded.
The suspect had a lengthy criminal history and was wanted for possession of a firearm by felon, and felony flee to elude out of Lincoln County, before he was shot dead on Monday, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

(Yeah, I know. Big Media tells us the deceased enemy of the State is a very bad man. It may even be true, in this case. But when agents of the State come to take YOUR guns, Big Media will tell us that YOU are a very bad man.)

The cowards - they're fine with 4 AM squad-force, flash-bang raids on normal, "safe" people who don't know they being targeted or why, and wouldn't resist - but when it comes to a real criminal who might pose a danger, they're happy to let local LEOs take the risks.

Don’t attempt to conflate the issue of attempted gun control and relate it to this story as if this perp had any business possessing a firearm. Especially, had this perp become a mass shooter and mowed down 20, only later to find out he’d been arrested on 20 separate occasions. You’d be the very first to these boards denouncing law enforcement enforcement and the FIB as to why this man wasn’t found beforehand.
Stuff it.
You know damn well that when armed Agents of the State show up at YOUR house to steal YOUR guns, Big Media will portray YOU as a violent white supremacist threat to "Our Democracy".
This case is instructive. An armed individual (probably a real criminal, in this case) took out eight Agents of the State, at the cost of his own life. Armed Citizens will likely do better. The State can't win with that arithmetic.

I was in Charlotte a long time ago where one of them killed a policeman/ policemen. We were going to the airport and all of a sudden, seemed like hundreds of police cars with lights and sirens were driving across medians, screaming up I-77. Been a long time (almost 35 yrs?) but it was just terrible.
