Don’t attempt to conflate the issue of attempted gun control and relate it to this story as if this perp had any business possessing a firearm. Especially, had this perp become a mass shooter and mowed down 20, only later to find out he’d been arrested on 20 separate occasions. You’d be the very first to these boards denouncing law enforcement enforcement and the FIB as to why this man wasn’t found beforehand.

You know damn well that when armed Agents of the State show up at YOUR house to steal YOUR guns, Big Media will portray YOU as a violent white supremacist threat to "Our Democracy".
This case is instructive. An armed individual (probably a real criminal, in this case) took out eight Agents of the State, at the cost of his own life. Armed Citizens will likely do better. The State can't win with that arithmetic.
